Yes, seeing Mimetic last weekend in Kobe, I think many people would label his style drum n bass, IDM, ambient, or even techno, while he himself describes it as pure industrial.
As there are no vocals, you mainly have the song sounds and structures to make that distinction with his driving beats and abundance of machine sounds.

This is a bit off topic but, it seems to me that there is a massive pro-industrial bias here..
Anyway, it always seemed to me that techno is like pop to Industrials metal.

Given the close link between goth and industrial in many circles and that this is a goth forum, I wouldn't think that little observation would be all that surprising.

Where does 'industrial techno' (a la Industrial Movement, N-Vitral, Void Settler, the aforementioned Terrorfakt etc) fit into the industrial - techno dichotomy?

It doesn't. I've never head of such a description.
Terrorfakt is a powernoise act, if that helps...
