Planet of the Apes
"get your hands off me you damned dirty ape!"
:D

Also, not a film but a 90's TV show I used to be addicted to, This Life, it still seems more extreme and more realistic than most programmes out there. (Some may recognise two of the actors, one from Pirates of the caribbean, another from Teachers/The Walking Dead)

Just watched "Scott Pilgrim Versus The World" and it was fantastic. Not a huge fan of Ramona's character (thought he should have gone back to Knives since she did save his ass and all), but the story was pretty well done. I've never read the comic, but I will say seeing the film actually made me want to.

The new Harry Potter...I think it's one of the best of the series.

Friend of mine's doing a play-by-forum super-hero RPG and I signed on. It's got the whole "government hunting down super-powered individuals" theme, so I saw X-Men and X-Men 2 tonight to get my mind in the right mood for it.

It's funny... Seemed like not many liked those films when they came out. Then X-Men 3: The Last Stand came out and, suddenly, the first two were masterpieces. (The word "masterpieces" and "Bryan Singer" do not compute to me, unless you're talking about Valkyrie. After all, that was the director that gave us Superman Returns...)

I liked the X-Men movies when they came out...kinda. I was a bit busy facepalming at all of the inconsistancies. I do take a completely stupid, fangirlish delight in seeing Stan Lee grace the screen when he started doing that. I hope that man never dies.
