[EDIT: Spoiler black-outs. added. -- Nephele] He looked like he was in very good shape. He was more physically powerful than many in the group. (Age is not necessarily a defining factor: I know people in their 50's who are in better shape than some people in their 20's.) As far as diet, he was doing no worse than anyone else, and frankly, no one seems to be in starvation mode. That's true. Couldn't have been too long after the shit hit the fan.

Oh man, I loved this episode even though I was in tears at the end.
I kinda know what it's like to only have your sister. If something had happened to mine when we were in foster care I would've been inconsolable, as well.
Also, Guillermo's sexy over bite....*drool*

I'm liking it, I wish there was at least two more episodes though...my guess is that they didn't think it would be such a hit so they were kind of testing it out. Hopefully they'll expand it by two or four episodes next season.

Also, Guillermo's sexy over bite....*drool* I don't have a sister, but that last scene tore me up, too. Gotta also say that I loved Guillermo's "dogs bought at Satan's yard sale." They were adorable! Hahahahaha!-- Nephele

Re: The Walking Dead on AMC cable channel
Did you guys watch it last night? I was shocked when it was revealed that Jim had been bitten. I was also anxiously waiting for Amy to come back to life as a zombie; I was pleasantly surprised that Andrea had the fortitude to shoot Amy. It was actually very touching.
I don't know what good it'll do them to go to the CDC. The one guy that's left seems pretty inept! He screwed up his best samples.

I really liked how they changed up the story with Shane! His story ended so differently in the comic; it's intriguing how the writers changed it for the show, and I'm interested in seeing what happens with him next! The CDC guy? He wasn't even in the comics, and a lot of the answers he'll be giving them in the next episode - yes, I saw the spoilers on the website - were never given to the characters in the comic, so the writers have really taken the series into uncharted territories now! I like it!

Does anyone know if they've announced any winners yet for the zombie walk-on role? -- Nephele

That's about the only thing that would make me get on a plane - finding out that I'd won a stagger-on role as a zombie. Something else that blew my mind: as a promo for this series, they had a world-wide "zombie epidemic" that was captured in photos. Check this out! If I had known, I would have participated! Be sure to surf through all 36 photos -they're a hoot. Zombie Invasion

Re: The Walking Dead on AMC cable channel
I did like this last episode! I was pleasantly surprised that they did not turn Andrea into a whiny bitch that suddenly couldn't handle shit just because it hit her. Huzzah for strong women! ^_^ I did cry when she actually shot her sister. Hell, I was crying up to the part.
I was a bit disappointed that they made Rick such a 'boyscout' that he would willingly risk the lives of the whole party just because one person got bit. Needs of the many and all that. Thankfully Jim was realistic about it.
Also disappointed in Shane, now. I like that the old man seems to have a bead on him.
Jacqui is just so beautiful! I'm glad she hasn't died!-- Thu Dec 02, 2010 10:27 am -- Agent Black wrote: Nephele wrote: Hahahaha! It's like the whole world is united! Zombies for world peace! End world hunger! Eat brains! It's not like most of the world would miss theirs, anyway!

Jacqui is just so beautiful! I'm glad she hasn't died! Oh, Andrea was that hardcore in the comics! I am so glad they got her character right! Rick... *sigh* He has a tendency to be a boy scout, but he'll grow. You'd be scared how hard-minded he gets in the comics. As for Shane, yeah, you don't want to know how his story went in the comics. Suffice to say, if this were the comics, he would already be gone.Agent Black wrote: Nephele wrote: Hahahaha! It's like the whole world is united! Zombies for world peace! End world hunger! Huzzah for strong women! ^_^ I did cry when she actually shot her sister. Hell, I was crying up to the part. Agreed! Andrea even started out as a strong female character. Remember when Rick first encounters the group of survivors in the city? It was Andrea who held a gun on him and was about to blow his brains out for alerting the zombies to their prescence.
I think it was kind of foreshadowed at the beginning of the previous episode that Andrea was the sister born to survive and little sister Amy was destined not to survive, with that conversation that both sisters had in the boat while fishing. They had come to the conclusion that their father treated them each differently because they had different needs -- Andrea needed to catch the fish (for the supper table, making her a practical survivalist), while Amy needed to throw the fish back into the water.-- Nephele
