 Your Game of Thrones Name
Season Two of HBO's acclaimed series Game of Thrones begins Sunday, April 1st. The television series takes its title from the first of George R.R. Martin's novels in his fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire. If you lived in this medieval society on the continent of Westeros (which roughly resembles the British Isles), what would your name be? To which noble house might you have been born? Does your family have a sigil and a motto? If you would like to know, then through the magic of anagramming I'll give you your Westeros identity. All you need to do is scramble (for privacy) the letters of your name: first name, middle name, and last name. (Please, no more than three names scrambled.) If you need help scrambling your letters, you can use this link: Scrambler. Then give me your scramble, combined in one long word (again, for privacy), like this: olatlolpaiebherme And do check out the novels and the HBO series! HBO USA Game of Thrones websiteHBO UK Game of Thrones website-- Nephele, who is very, very, very much enjoying this HBO series (and the novels)

Re: Your Game of Thrones Name
Arq, yours was actually one of the names I was practicing on before launching this new anagram thingy. Only, I used the scramble you'd given me awhile back for a different anagram thingy. Here's what I came up with for you, using that other scramble: You are of House Corbray of Heart's Home, "one of the main noble houses from the Vale. It is an old but poor house... They blazon their arms with three black ravens in flight holding three red hearts, on white." Your name is: Talley Ranulph Corbray= RnbayUlapYolhlCretra Alternately (using the scramble you just now gave me), you are a crannogman of House Cray, named: Alban Rupert Cray= Yrabn Luap Ecarrt -- Nephele

Re: Your Game of Thrones Name
ittybittybat, I think you can watch some episodes online, at the HBO site I linked in the OP. I couldn't quite decide in which noble house to place you, so you get a choice of four. Here are your name choices: Callista Morghyn Leek Chloe Lily Megan Stark Myrtillah Agnes Locke Lilla Mercysong Keath= glkltnsoriyaehacelm House Leek is a House of the Crownlands, with close ties to House Rykker of Duskendale in the Crownlands (Ser Rufus of House Leek was appointed castellan of House Rykker's Dun Fort in Duskendale). It is believed that they ride under the sigil of House Rykker. House Stark of Winterfell is the ruling House of the North. House Locke of Oldcastle is also a noble House of the North. House Keath is a noble House of the Riverlands. -- Nephele

I guess you've read all the novels? I'm still working my way through them. I can't believe this series started in 1996 and I never read a book in it until now! -- Nephele

Re: Your Game of Thrones Name
Milky, you should listen to your girlfriend. The books are wonderful – even through there are fantasy elements in them, they're not heavy on the fantasy. To me, that's a good thing, because some fantasy series just get so over the top with the unicorns and sorcerers and stuff that it gets a bit silly. But this series focuses more on a sort of medieval world that's parallel to earth, where magic exists to some extent but it's not the driving force of what is basically a character-driven story. The first season of the television series followed the first novel in the series very closely. It's a very well-done series, filmed on various locations throughout the world, including Iceland, to give a convincing look to the world depicted in the books. I'll give you a choice of three noble Houses, with the names: Edwarn Humbert Pryor Brum Parren the Rowdy Arthor Predwyn Umber= humradoreeypnrbrtw House Pryor of Pebble House ParrenHouse Umber of Last Hearth Would your girlfriend like a Westeros identity, too? -- Nephele

Re: Your Game of Thrones Name
Lachry, you belong to House Crane of Red Lake, and your name is: C'ril Invictus Crane= ncvietrcusilnicra "C'ril" is pronounced like "Cyril." "Invictus" is Latin, meaning "unconquered; invincible." ************************************** Milky, your lady is a member of House Chelsted, and her name is: Ambrinia Chelsted= arintehedlmsciab Alternately, she is a member of no noble house, but is instead one of the commonfolk, known simply as: Maiden Christabel= arintehedlmsciab -- Nephele

-- Nephele Lilla Mercysong Keath I choose ^that^ one. And it costs money to view online (and on TV) from the first episode. And I'm definitely one of those people who has to see everything (if it's something I like) in chronological order or I just won't watch it. Thanks for the name!
