Post Blood and Bone China
The buzz is that the 12-part, Web-based series Blood and Bone China starts tomorrow (Sunday, March 6th, at 6pm):

BloodandBoneChina.com wrote:
It is 1897 and a city is in turmoil. In the smoky, dirty depths of middle England, the people are terrified. The once bustling streets of Stoke are empty, the silence is only broken by the whispers of devils, demons and vampires. Poor souls are being taken, vanishing without a trace.

When the local doctor is snatched away, word travels to his brother, a young vet by the name of Newlyn Howell. Spurred on to discover the truth by the enigmatic Alexander Pyre, Newlyn's dark adventure into the depths of Victorian Stoke begins… and what he discovers is beyond belief.

Blood and Bone China is a twelve part web drama series beginning March 2011, created and directed by award winning Stoke-On-Trent based film-maker Chris Stone and starring TV's Rachel Shenton as Anna Fitzgerald.

Anyone here planning to watch this? I'm not certain where one goes on the Web to download/watch the episodes. Presumably at the website?

Here's a quote from writer/director Chris Stone: "The way we're making this different from other vampire series is our vampires don't turn into glitter when they're out in the sunlight. And we're going back to the original gothic horror, Victorian roots with it, which hasn't really been done since the '60s and '70s."

That's very helpful -- thanks! So, these episodes are free through YouTube? If so, then we can all watch and start a discussion on the series here in this thread.

I fully intend to watch it, yes! It's an intriguing trailer, and if it lives up to it, I think this could be a brilliant viewing experience.

I hope so. Nothing worse than a saggy storyline after a mindblowing start.

I love the bit about them not being sparkly vampires!

It's safe to say that it has no connections to that certain wuss-pire franchise, then?

Definitely one for me to watch... and I love the fact it is on Youtube so if I miss it tomorrow night I can watch it anytime and catch up :D

I agree with Wolfie... vampires need to 'fang-up' and start the proper slaughter after all the glitter!

Hi guys!

My name is Chris Stone, I'm the director/producer of Blood and Bone China.

Yes it starts tonight at 6pm GMT time on www.bloodandbonechina.com (which is still under construction, it's taking a bit longer than we thought so I think it'll direct you straight to the YouTube channel). It's Chapter 1 and 2 tonight

Chapter 1: The Man In Black (5mins approx)
Chapter 2: The Enigmatic Mister Pyre (8 mins)

Here is a an interview I did for GetFanged about the series.
http://www.facebook.com/notes/getfanged ... 658?ref=nf

This is a little piece some local media students made about Blood and Bone China.
Has an interview with some idiot (me!!!) and Lara who plays Victoria.

We had the prem the other night on the big screen as part of the Stoke Your Fires film festival. Chapters 1-4 were shown. On display were props and costumes from the series and the original case notes and newspapers from a real vampire case from the 1970's which Chapter 7 is based on.
Here is a short review by our local radio station
http://www.6towns.co.uk/news/2011/03/bl ... -interview

Please do get in touch as this is for you guys (you are my target audience) and let me know what you think, the whole idea of doing a hammer horror style web series is it's interactive, send me your thoughts; what you liked, didn't like. We have currently shot up to Chapter 7 so your ideas and input might affect future chapters.
Also there is chance to be in it!

Check out the gallery at http://www.facebook.com/BloodandBoneChina
and follow me on twitter via. twitter.com/bloodbonechina

Thanks guys!

I hope you all enjoy it! We've had great fun making it.
We've been to some great locations... Victorian gardens, castles, haunted pubs etc.

I'm this very second just doing some last second sound adjustments. Boosting scream levels and adding a couple of new sound effects.

I am so psyched for this series, I'm gnashing fangs and drooling blood.

Can we look forward to more updates here from you, Chris? Many, many thanks for the treats you've given us!
