On Facebook there is a new app called "If I Die."

Supposedly you get it, say what you want everyone to hear and in the event of your death the holder posts it and lets everyone on your facebook know you've kicked the bucket. Awesome.

Now if only that application was present for EVERY website!

What do you think about the IF I Die app?

Why not just post what you want to say by posting it on the site then someone can post a link for it when you die. Rather then buying the app. (Which I assume you have to do?) I was to lazy to look at the link. lol

I just like the idea of it. I think it would be awesome if there was an app that told every site you visited that you have died in the event of the person's death.

I can sort of see how this would be useful but personally I think it's more of a one-last-attention-whoring move. But maybe that's just because I don't have that many friends on Facebook who would actually care if I died. What I mean to say is, close friends and family, on Facebook or not, will find out relatively soon if I were to croak. Everyone else, will figure it out sooner or later (or not), and if they do, they probably won't give it that much thought.

I don't want people to know when I'm dead. If they don't hear from me in awhile, I'd prefer them to think that I'm just hiding in the shadows and WATCHING them. Heheh.

Now I know why this seems familiar, I remember reading about something similar last year - except not (completely) free but it lets you deal with all your online identities after death. Seems a bit more practical than one last video.

I have never heard of that before. I'll save the link to read it again at a future date. At least I'm not the only one who wonders what would happen to my online venues should I die!
