 Re: Short hair
I certainly do prefer short hair on men. I really prefer it, in fact. As for ladies, I really do think a lot of ladies look good in short hair.
Personally, I wear a shaved head and a closely trimmed beard.

 Re: Short hair
A couple of weeks ago, I got a modified A-line... it basically looks like one, except the underside is all shaved so that I can put it up in a mohawk when I like. Usually I take the lazy way out and clip it up with a banana comb, then put my product into it. I use LUSH "Dirty" hair styling creme and my trusty ole' Aqua Net.
The biggest issue I'm having right now is that the stylist buzzed WAY up above my nape so the hair at the base of my skull is totally gone! (Which makes a mohawk look a bit weird, but oh well!) Hair is supposed to grow 1/2 inch each month, so hopefully in a couple of months it'll look a bit better & then I'll get the sides shaved again.

 Re: Short hair
I've got a short mohawk with the locks of hair in front of my ears kept long but the sides shaved. I loved it at first but the cool thing for girls to do seems to be get my damn haircut, minus the locks, so now every time I run into someone sporting it (which is quite often, I'm in art college full of cool people) I get really mad! I know its only hair and I didn't exactly invent it but now it seems so normal, and I want weird hair!

It had an ugly bow on the side, which I removed and replaced with a little Strange Monster pin. *edit* Sorry for the crappy cellphone pic, plus it was dark in the restaurant.

 Re: Short hair
I had a 'hawk for a while- which later became a sort-of undercut, which I'm now in the middle of growing out... Needless to say it's all a bit awkward at the moment. Basically, I'm a huge fan of short, low-maintenance haircuts, and once my hair gets to a certain length, I start getting the urge to shave it all off... But I just get plain black bobby pins and gel to keep it in check, I'm pretty boring like that.

 Re: Short hair
I have always had long straight hair, though I do admit I have had fantasies of chopping it off with a kitchen knife while bawling my eyes out...however no such event has cropped up in my life that has prompted such a drastic event (yet). I've always had long hair and I have no desire to cut it. I found a compromise by starting a collection of short-haired wigs in various colours and styles. That way if I feel like going short I can without inevitably crying about it later

 Re: Short hair
Hey, thanks, Wolfie! Coming from someone as beautiful as you, that's quite a compliment.
BTW, I am what could be considered a "hat whore". I absolutely love hats, and I'm building up quite a collection.

 Re: Short hair
I've recently gone to a short hair look. I do miss my very long hair (i.e. down to my arse), but my hair does not like humidity at all. No matter how much product I put in it to defrizz and protect against humidity and such, never worked. Also, my hair has become so frail over time (I say this and sound so old, yet I'm only 22) that it has massively thinned out. My hair used to be a good 2-3 times thicker than it is now. So, to maybe prolong the hair loss I seem to be enduring, I've opted for short hair. I personally don't jazz it up with any accessories. I just do a side part now and straighten it. I feel I look dorky in most hats and was never a big fan of hair clips and such. The only thing I'm currently debating is whether to dye my hair again or not (it's been five years or so since I last dyed it, but I seem to have inherited my dad's premature graying...I have so many white hairs it's sad).
On the plus side, if my hair would cooperate and I knew how, I could pull off some awesome old school goth teased hairdos!

 Re: Short hair
I have hair kinda like the Swedish "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and I love my bowler hat. It's the best I think, for short hair

For when it grows out a little for a different look? They come in some beautiful colours and cheap prices on Etsy and Ebay.
