I went shopping today for some black clothing and for some reason I can't seem to stay in the men's section (obviously, I'm a man). It's just that there are so many nice things in the women's section that I could see myself wearing in public. Is this ok? Should I be embarassed? Does anyone else do this? Post your thoughts.

Glandith - most of my male friends won't wear anything else than women's clothing when they go out clubbing. It doesn't even have anything to do with sexuality or sexual orientation, it's more about what they believe they look great in (and they do), and what they are comfortable wearing.
You are certainly not the first man in the world to wear women's clothing, and you certainly wouldn't be the last. There is nothing to be embarrased about; like Mes said, it's your life, and you need to do what makes you feel happy and comfortable.

I think those two posts said it all, go ahead, do what you want and live happy; haven't you ever seen a girl wearing boy's clothes?

Wearing dresses and skirts is fun!
I'd just want to go out with a group of people if I am doing it in public as to not get my arse kicked by some stupid redneck or fratscrum.

I tell ya... alot of female trenchcoats look really cool, they can get the ones with the pointy lookin shoulders and the tight waist type thing... but I gotta tell ya, I don't think wearing women's clothing is fun, I'm not saying that you shouldn't but I like men's clothing...
-fs- goes for more of a corporate look...

Of course I wear mens' clothing. To me, nothing feels sexier than when I wear a man's dress shirt and not much else.

Being the musclebound hairball that I am, I come off a wee bit too "butch" to pull off women's clothing. However, I totally understand the appeal; in my opinion, the modern woman has a much wider range of styles and much nicer fabrics in their wardrobes than we guys do. Indeed, being a devotee of garments that are long and flowing, I recognize the appeal of a nice skirt, regardless of sex.
Besides, regarding clothes as gender-specific is just too damn limiting! If you want to throw on a skirt and a nice silk blouse and call it good, I say more power to you! At the end of the day, you will feel the most confident and comfortable in clothes that feel "right" to you, so go with your gut and screw the dominant paradigm.

I say do what you want.I go to the mens to see if I like anything there and I do wear men's clothing. I can understand you wanting to wear women's cloths. Some things are very nice.

Tiamat's domain (Avernus, the Abyss, or Iraq, whichever you prefer)! The first thread in the fashion section deals with such endeavours (although its subject was an elaboration of something Blood Rose once mentioned on the NGMBs about those few who would do it for the wrong reasons). In any case, I support anyone who wishes to wear womyn's clothing, and am known to wear such garb myself!
Thine for eternity,
Seraphim
