I'm trying to grow my hair out, but once it reaches a certain length, it seems to like to stop growing. Does anyone know any secrets for making hair grow faster? Anything at all?
Any advise is appreciated.

Take vitamin E

Cut ends every 6 weeks

Hair just grows. Period. It doesn't actually slow down, it breaks more when it's long. Thus the advice of having it trimmed every 6 weeks - 2 months. Breakage makes the ends ragged which gives the illusion of not gaining length.

Make sure you have enough amino acids in your diet, take vitamin E, drink plenty of water. Avoid blowdryers, dying, bleaching, and products containing alcohol.

It depends. Try semi-permanent dyes, condition a lot and do not wash too much (every three days is perfect) and you should get almost no damage. I do that, and it works. On my shitty thin hair

I've been wondering for some time now about this: Is it simply not an option to have blonde hair when you're goth? I've never seen a goth in Denmark nor in any other place, including internet and TV, who had blonde hair. Black of course, green, blue red and dark brown, but not a single blonde. My hair is long and blonde, and I'm actually beginning to wonder if I would be laughed at or something if I went clubbing anywhere else tahn I usually go, because of it. I'm not going to change it, I'm just so damn puzzled by it... or maybe I just need glasses or something...

actually, I've seen a few at the local club.

be yourself, you don't HAVE to fit every damn stereotype to be goth...

As ShadowWolf said, just be yourself. Part of the appeal of the gothic subculture is the way people are so open-minded and welcoming to differences. I personally would laugh more at someone who did things *specifically* to fit a stereotype than be themselves. If you want your hair to remain natural, that's all that matters. Screw what anyone else thinks.

I've seen some absolutely gorgeous goths with blonde and white hair... If you like how you look blonde, then keep it! :) And if you really want to dye it and it turns out you don't like it, it'll always grow back.

I'm not sure I'd consider myself a goth but I've been floating around the goth scene for a couple of years with long blonde hair and I too wouldn't change it, its part of me. A big apeal to me about the goth scene is that in general you don't get judged especially on little things like apperance, just accepted as you are, so don't worry just be yourself as others have said.

Also in response to question about hair dye I know someone who uses henna to dye his hair black and has the loveliest long healthy looking hair I have ever seen.

Yes, take a multivitamin, and/or vitamin E. Most Americans do not get enough Vitamin E in their diet.

As for blondes being goth. Sure they can be. I've seen many gorgeous gothic blonde women.
