Buggering ell' Dragonwings, thats rough. Take care now!

I've done 4/6/6/6 miles this week. I might do 4 more on Friday, but coast along and preserve my aching legs. Ok, time for bed!

Thanks LS! I'll do my best. Today I was on this weight lifting machine. Managed to lift 40 lbs. 30 times. XD Insanity.

I think you should rest. :) That's a lot of walking.

I hope everything goes well Dragonwings, don't forget to take it easy now and then!

Off to the gym again this morning, then I've to walk to the bus depot later with my art supplies so I may resemble a rambling homeless woman with polio.

Also, got to get me some gloves for weight lifting, my poor squidgey hands get all rough and sore!

Ended up coming down with the flu last week, and taking time off of work this week...so getting back to the gym next week is going to hurt! On the up side, I've still been watching what I've been eating, and getting plenty of water. I adjusted my calories to make up for not getting to the gym, and I'm only 1 1/2 lbs away from my main goal! That means I'm 6 1/2 lbs away from my cruise goal, and my cruise is still 2 months away! I should be in good shape, though still working on the toning.

I was going through my closet yesterday getting rid of old clothes I'll never wear again, and I came across one of my old size 14 jeans hidden at the bottom of a basket. For giggles, I put them on. I cannot believe I used to be that size just a few short years ago, even worse, that I was actually bigger than that! I started this journey when the scale tipped 200 lbs and my size 16's were feeling a bit tight, and now I'm just shy of 140 and wearing a size 8 comfortably! I do single leg presses with the weight I've lost, and I find it hard to believe that I was carrying that extra weight around with me every day. No wonder my resting heart rate back then was 92 bpm!!! It is scary thinking about where I would be today had I not had my wakeup call and started my journey to lose the weight.

Hope you feel better GothicBfly! Glad to hear that exercising is working for you.

I found an old skirt of mine in a box in the garage. It's a size 10-12. Awesomely enough, it fits! So that means I've gone down at least one size. Which is nice. Haven't weighed myself recently, but yeah, the skirt gives me an idea of where I am.

I have this week off from physical therapy, but I'm still doing exercise.

I lost 5 pounds, I'm so psyched! Without even changing my eating habits. I can finally see this getting somewhere. Just wanted to share this, since my metabolism had been ruined by the medication I was given to treat my depression, and I literally could not eat anything without gaining weight.

So ... no medication right now, but surpringly, I feel okay. I have an appointment at a psychritrist in two months, as my doctor think I may be suffering from Borderline and not depression. He said that it was very possible that I was misdiagnosed. I'm a bit anxious about the idea of sitting in front of a stranger and telling all about how I feel, my eating habits, my sleeping schedule, I might even have to show him the wounds on my wrist - because I suck at telling people things like that, it's easier to show. It's all very personal, but if it makes my life better, it's so worth it.

Alice, sending good wishes to you that this doctor can give you the best help :) and glad to hear you have lost weight.

Dragonwings, great job! Yay on a smaller skirt size!

Bfly, you have been going along tremendously well. You'll hit that cruise goal on the head.

My weight loss is still coming along. And LS and I have run together 3 times so far - I'm really slowing the poor guy down but he did push me a bit today, which I needed. :D

Yay Alice! Nice to see y'all making an effort, unlike H - who I had to goad on with a tap on the bum and a promise of some sexy-time.

Well....if he dangled the carrot while you were running he'd get arrested for indecency! It would be funny, though. And I'd tell everyone "I know those crazy bastids!"

You get to tick off the days until you see him again. :)

So, I got on the scale this morning, and starring back at me was my goal weight (actual goal, not cruise goal)!!! Now, to lose the 5 lbs that I will probably gain back while on the cruise, and I'm good to go! Not bad, considering I haven't been making it to the gym. Next week I have no excuses!! It will not be as easy to crawl back into bed after getting everyone up for the day, as my son now needs to be at school early to start training for powerlift, which means it would be useless for me to go back to bed. :) Time to finish toning!

My Krump CDs came in yesterday. I know, not really gothy, but I've always been in awe of the dance style. It looks like so much fun, and I've been wanting to learn for some time. The one day I took the dance class at the gym, there was a few portions that were krump, and it was so much fun. I know I can easily learn it. Wonder if I could adapt krumping to some hard thumping industrial. :D It is quite the workout...and the CD set contains intro, advanced, and an actual workout CD, as well as a segment on this history of the dance style. Wish I could get one of my friends to learn with me, but of all my friends, only two are even interested in any kind of dancing (and no, my husband does not dance at all)...one is into ballroom styles only (sorry, no quick-quick-change for me), and the other doesn't even want to try until she can lose some weight and her feet and ankle issues clear up (which are both weight related to start with).
