 Re: The Paganism Thread
That sounds like a wonderful idea, Nephele!
Once we move the alter will be going into the bedroom until we can make the library (which will be for my own personal use). Once the library is completed, it will go in there. I am very excited about it.

 Re: The Paganism Thread
I don't consider myself Pagan. The name and its modern spin offs of "religions" annoys and irks me. My username is just an old joke. I have used it for a number of years. I honor the Norse gods. I don't worship. Why would I prostrate myself before anyone, god or not? There is little honor or dignity in that. The Spinners weave as they will. Don't mistake me for one of those fool wannabe Vikings either. Very few Northmen were Vikings in comparison with the population. Most we're regular common folk. Besides being a Viking isn't precisely a marketable trade nowdays.
In fact I am very traditionalist and conservative. I dont see Norse Heathenry as my religion but my worldview. It is how I live my life. Or at the very least try. I have grown lax and fallen lately.

The Norse gods have always been very interesting to learn about....and don't worry- I won't compare you to those old capital one commercials!

 Re: The Paganism Thread
Been playing with my Tarot deck lately. My choice of beliefs don't necessarily include Tarot as a reliable source for insight, but it was part of my childhood. I felt inclined to peek.
Recent events in my personal life have left me a bit conflicted (isn't it always?), however, I've drawn a line and marked where I stand....and apparently my cards support that decision. Concerning my plan of action further, I got "Temperance".
I'm an Aries. I hate waiting. -_-

I'm an Aries. I hate waiting. -_- I can relate to that. My sign, Capricorn, describes me very well. I like things to be neatly laid out before me. I like plans to be executed perfectly. I am not a fan of waiting and I prefer logic.

I am not a fan of waiting and I prefer logic. I have the distinct pleasure of being a cusp baby. It was a hard road to teaching myself to be patient, and even so, its difficult to do quietly. While I'd like to say I am a solid Aries, there are other things that aren't very typical of the sign that I wish I had less of. However, Aries-born aren't necessarily inclined to logic...just rash, want-motivated decisions. I usually don't get along with Capricorns, though. They tend to be snooty (even if just in their gait), clique-ish, and selectively generous, in my experience. None of these sit well with Aries.... Now, Leos, on the other hand..... :3

 Re: The Paganism Thread
My oldest sister is an Aries. We love each other dearly, but keep us together for too long and you'll have trouble.
I admit I can be clingy simply because I am not good with people and prefer a few close friends than many. Depending on who you ask I can very very standoffish, but that is more of a protective reflex than anything.
One of the traits of my sign that I do not have is organization. I can be very unorganized and disorderly more than I care to admit!
Allow me to be a Capricorn you can possibly get along with!
Funny you mentioned leo, by the way, as my other sister (middle sister) is a Leo. I'm the oddball of the three of us.

 Re: The Paganism Thread
I'm sure your sisters get along well, unless, of course, someone thinks they're better than the other...then all hell breaks loose. Oh, I'll try, Midi. It shouldn't be to hard.... Organization isn't my strong suit, either, but to my credit, I know where my things are...mostly. Leo is supposedly my best match, and if a Leo feels I'm interesting enough to associate with (picky buggers) we get along fantastically, even as friends.

LS is a Cancer and I am a Scorpio. You figure out the rest ( if you haven't already from all of the naughty posts).

You both have hard shells that have to be bitten into to get to the gooey center? I am a Leo and my husband is a Sagittarius on the cusp of Capricorn. Yes, he definitely has an attitude like he's somehow 'better' than other individuals and thinks that's a perfectly natural and healthy thing to believe. Although I hate to go with something silly like astrological signs to determine how compatable a potential mate is....there's some truth to it from my own experience. Aries did not work out, nor did Gemini or Pisces. I can get along with just about anyone platonically, though.
