Post R.I.P., Author Ray Bradbury Passes Away
Fahrenheit 451 author Ray Bradbury has passed away at 91 years old. When I first read his groundbreaking novel, it blew my mind. Rest in Peace, Mr. Bradbury!

*Nephele, I apologize for posting this if you were going to.

"The Martian Chronicles" and "Something Wicked This Way Comes", as well as "The October Country" were some of the best things I'd ever read.

RIP, Ray Bradbury.

I hadn't heard the sad news -- thanks for posting, NL.

From the Ray Bradbury website:

Quote:
Throughout his life, Bradbury liked to recount the story of meeting a carnival magician, Mr. Electrico, in 1932. At the end of his performance Electrico reached out to the twelve-year-old Bradbury, touched the boy with his sword, and commanded, Live forever! Bradbury later said, "I decided that was the greatest idea I had ever heard. I started writing every day. I never stopped."

With Ray Bradbury's words now stopped, the world has lost some magic.

Rest in peace, Illustrating Man.

I've only read Fahrenheit 451 and I disliked it tremendously.

But his writing was very good, and the only thing I disliked of the book was the plot. But I do admire Ray Bradbury as an author.

I hope the afterlife treats him well. :)
