Post Ever had a paranormal experience?
When I was little, I was walking with my grandma in a park. At one time, I got closer to a bunch of roses which had very beautiful colors. Suddenly, all color went gray, I saw everything in gray shades, all sound faded. I was standing in a field covered with small rocks and plenty of dust. In front of me lay a shallow gutter stretching far away from left to right. In that gutter, I saw a giant butterfly, it's wings seemed to have the consistency of hard plastic. It was really big, and it was shaking in a spasmodic way.

This sight lasted for about 5 second, then colors came back, sound reappeared, and I was back in the park. My grandma was standing 10 feet from me, talking to an acquaintance. I went up to her and asked her "what was that?". She didn't know what I was talking about.

I have no idea what happened that moment. Maybe I was briefly in another dimension. Who knows.

So did you have any paranormal experience? Ghosts, cryptic animal sightings, etc ?

You know, I always pretend that I don't believe in the paranormal, but that's not entirely true. Something weird was going on the house me and my mom lived in back in 2005, and I never found out what it was.
The door to my room would sometimes open on its own. Which was weird, but it wasn't what really weirded me out. Sometimes, when I locked it, it would begin to shake. Hard. Just like people sometimes do when a door is locked, and they try to shake it a bit, because maybe then it will open anyway.
That started in january and was still going on in august when we moved.
My mom would sometimes hear footsteps in the livingroom and the hallway, and think that I had gotten up because I felt sick again. When she went to check on me, I was sleeping.
She also once saw this tall black ... thing. Standing in the doorway to my room. It didn't do anything, it was just there. The next second, it was gone. That's when my mom began to consider moving ;)

In may 2005, we held a party. My sisters and brothers and their wives and husbands and kids were all invited. One of my sisters is a bit weird, and has always been agressive towards me for whatever reason.
She decided to cuss me out when we were eating. Everyone else stopped talking and just sat there, staring at her. Then the door started shaking again, which made my sister turn around to look.
And that's when something slapped her. We could all hear it, and we all saw the red mark it left on her cheek. People left shortly after that.

That same stuff has happened to me (the door, and the figure- and also a table against a wall). I've had many, many, many such experiences but I refuse to beleive in the supernatural.

I know that I suffer greatly from sleep hallucinations, it happens every time I oversleep, and when I'm half asleep at night. They are both visial and auditory. I don't beleive in ghosts or life after death.

I deeply beleive that I am psychic in the sense that I occasionally hear peoples thoughts, speak them, or have them speak mine. I have occasions of telekenesis too- nothing spectacular. If I ever cast spells (I was in a coven for 7 years- but had to give it up as I couldn't/would'nt belive in deity)- they would be instant and powerful in thier effects.

Its all a case of 'energy' IMO- directed by mind, or received by mind. I read something a while ago that apparitions do not actual appear in front of you- more that the brain picks up latent enegy and 'projects' the image in front of the eye.

I am dyslexic which means my brain is phsyiologically slight different to the norm, and I suffer from visual stress- which I think may be linked to the sleep hallucinations and the 'phychic powers'.

Well, I suppose a lot of us wouldn't be into this subculture if we didn't have at least a strong INTEREST towards the supernatural or unknown, whether one believes in it or not.

Me?? I've had loads..... since early childhood. I've come to the point where I've learned to recognize the difference in feeling between what one would call a ghost, or spirit, and a mundane hallucination, or something else entirely different and dangerous that doesn't belong here.

I believe a couple Halloweens ago, I posted my ghost story on this very forum, I will resurrect it by request. I don't believe it was a ghost personally, but something tied to a certain place that had a profound interest in me.

There are an infinite number of things roaming this universe in dimensions the eye cannot normally recognize, and definitely much much more than "ghosts" or what some schools of magic refer to as "demons".

The presence of an undead ghost or disembodied spirit of that which once was mortal is usually characterized by a "hushed" presence, and a slightly still, and sometimes cold feeling in the air. One will never see one directly, but in one's peripheral vision. Same with hearing them, usually only on the edge of hearing.

Demons vary greatly depending on which demon one meets, or which human does the meeting. Usually demons are friendly towards MOST humans, unless offended.
They are not monsters, and contrary to folk tales, do not appear as such unless by choice.

Other, more dangerous entities, which do not belong here, and would be collectively generalized as "evil spirits" are often pronounced by a very sudden and overwhelming sense of unexplainable fear and sense of dread. Sometimes this is accompanied by the sight of shapeless shadows in peripheral vision, but one can be most sensitive to these spirits in lucid dreams and nightmares. Often in nightmares where one is running from some nameless terror in the darkness, where one can hear and sense it's presence, but not see it.

Don't think I've ever had a paranormal experience before- well, if you count this that happened at work a paranormal experience:

I was eating lunch in a room with a co-worker, and we were talking about ghosts. The co-worker was mentioning how she didn't believe in ghosts ect. and just then an umbrella happened to roll over an inch high ledge and off the shelf, hitting me on the head.
I don't really think that counts- probably coincidence.

Although, my mother has had a couple of ghostly experiences before. She once was walking down the road and heard the sound of horses hooves on the road, and saw a light connected to nothing travelling down that same road. She looked around and saw the Grey Lady walking on a river/lake nearby.

Another was when she was going through a rough time. Every night she would take off her crucifix necklace and would lay it in a straight line on her chest of draws. But when she woke up one morning, it was curled up with the cross in the centre. No one came in the room and she definitely laid it out straight the night before.

One other one was when she was in Germany. My older brother had been born on his uncle's birthday. My mother walked into my baby brother's room to find his uncle gazing down into the cot. He was in a rocking chair with an orange blanket and oxygen mask over his face. The thing was that he had died 2 weeks previous in England, and my mother hadn't even known he had died.

Post Re: Ever had a paranormal experience?
I'm not sure if these were paranormal - but I am sure I saw them, and they did happen. I'd like to believe they aren't, because I still live here and I get scared easily, and I'm home alone on a lot of occassions.
This happened a year or so ago. One night, I was trying to sleep in the living room. My dad was in the room with me, and my mom was in one of the bedrooms. Now, I know for sure that both of them were sleeping soundly. In my apartment, from the living room you can see the master bedroom (the one my mom was in) and if any lights are on you can easily judge in which room the light coomes from. I left the kitchen light on and left the door ajar, so there was some light emanating from the room. Now, as I'm trying to sleep, I was looking at the light, and after a while, it looked like someone opened the door a bit more, and after a while the door was back in it's original place again (judging by how much light I could see coming from the inside). I couldn't see anyone or anything entering or standing near the door - just some dark small (around the size of a human head) thing near the door, and there was definitely no wind either.
A few weeks ago, I went to a graveyard, and as usual I took a good amount of pictures. I try to be as respectful as I can when I visit, tidy up the graves sometimes, and make sure to pray for protection before I step inside, and pray for the souls of the people buried, and when leaving, request that nobody follow me home. So, the next morning at around 9:30 A.M., I was sleeping, and I had to wake up in about 20 minutes. I was very tired and was delaying waking up, and then, I'm sort of half-asleep, I tried to open my eyes but I could only squint - and from the right side, I could see a hazy face. It looked menacing, and it disappeared after a few seconds.
Needless to say, I woke up soon. These incidents left me scared shitless for a few days.

I love hearing about other people's experiences! The supernatural is real and all around us!

I've seen and sensed a whole bunch of things on different occasions, including doors slammed in my face, conversations with demons (nasty things!) and really awesome encounters with my deity of choice.

Thinking back, what happened sounds like a textbook case of Poltergeist activity. Huh.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but that does sound paranormal. Picking up peoples thoughts, telekenesis, stuff like that.

Post Re: Ever had a paranormal experience?
Once I had a friend who committed suicide. He stitches an empty shot five times in his heart, layed down beside his sleeping whife and waited until the chardiac chamber was full of blood. So he died. I cried a river although I was angry on him, because I felt betrayed. We were a gang of outcats who needed each other to resist society. At his funeral his sister held a little speach and instead of chorals ore something she played a some Rock'n Roll songs.

He got his wreath from the armored reconnaissance bataillon near by, where he served as a tank commander. He got a low rank because of discyplinary problems but between several tanks to command, because his people always met the target in the maneuver. Which was a problem with the Leopard I, before they automized the target acquisition. The army fired him, because he gave LSD trips to a comrade who jumped out of the window.

At the grave the others threw yellow tulips on his coffin, I gave him a cyan scarf out of silk as a symbol for our dream which I had to dig in together with him. Another guy who offered me some cocain business at his open grave gave me the rest. I was desperate and left the funeral, jumped in my car and drove blind for tears into the forests. Only the trees could heal my wounds. I live in a region with two mountain rages, so I went to a little observation tower, to look above the lannd. At the top of the belvedere there was a flagpole, which was fixed with several steel cramps at the wooden tower who got a concrete foundation. The flag pole started to vibrate at once. It was juddering like hell and I heard the voice of my friend. All of you are at fault of my death. I answered with that wild, desperate an free laughter, that I heard from him so often. And left the tower, because I was annoyed by that vibrations, which became stronger and stronger. It was a quite an sunny day without any wind and no earthquake or something like that was registered.

Post Re: Ever had a paranormal experience?
I have seen to many ghosts in my life not to believe in them. One time it was the first night my mom got our house, me and my two friends decided to stay there, with no furniture it was an empty house sounded fun. Around 1am a ghost, who was first nations, around 16 years old, dressed in his ceremonial outfit came up stairs and started walking in circles for a hour. I swore I say these faces in the window I did not tell my friends, my friend who is more open to the spiritual world then me, said the next day the ghost told her that there are ghosts outside right now, they are my family coming to visit, since I died so young it is hard for me to move on. We found out at city hall that the street way back was a first nations graveyard and they built houses there before government really cared about any scared ground. My mom of course did not believe me, even thought she believes in ghost, it took a lot of weird things happening and one of her friends who senses ghosts to say he felt a presence till she believed we saw something.
