Re: Floridians Denied The Right To Vote!
I don't like the thought of non-citizens voting in our elections, but I like even less the fact that what appears to be the governor's "Enemies List" has a 20 percent (and possibly higher) error rate.
And, as Project Vote pointed out in their letter to the Secretary of State, the way your governor is going about all this is in violation of section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993. So my opinion is that the governor has to stop what he's doing.
I'm glad I don't live in Florida.
I agree. I don't want non-citizens to have the right to vote, but at the same time this is notthe way to go about it. The first video I posted says a lot on the issue, comparing it to what happened in 2000 when Governor Bush (Pres. Bush's brother) did this exact same thing, except under the guise of purging felons.
Noe, I am an Independent Voter but I am very unlikely to be on his list. Still, this type of thing shouldn't happen at all and it upsets me greatly. It also upsets me that so many (in Florida and other states) are not taking this very seriously.
