Maybe Rome needed to fall?
I guess it's all up to us to put it right again, as ususal. Anyone fancy standing for election with me?
Yes, but hopefully such a fall in modern times will not cause the decent into a system where the common man has no voice.
yet you find great reason to complain against the system nonetheless. ... do you honestly believe throwing your hat into the ring will change this?
not meaning to sound discouraging... well, actually, i am, in part. Why not take this problem on from another angle, rather than doing what everybody else is doing (and failing at)?
Unfortunately, many will interpret such a topic as an excuse for violent revoltution. I would wish to avoid such actions. I find Morningstar's suggestion encouraging: change the system by using the system to instigate the change.
Who is everybody else and where are they failing? Yes there are great poilitcal leaders who are geniune in their actions and deeds. Where disenchantment occurs is when the parties become the choice vice the individual representing the people. Many feel they have to buy off on the party platform and possibly compromise belief when they cast their vote. We the people must ensure the system's sanctity is maintained, cry foul when abused, and remove those who are ineffective.
rome's gonna fall by election?
Hopefully. The process of change always begins with the people.
