Ha! Only if the band at my cousin's wedding reception actually plays my request!

OMG Minty...

That is strange and funny in so many ways... Expressions including "popping cherries" spring to mind, though...

I figured it would appeal to the doll enthusiast that is Wolfmammy ;)

This was my second choice, purely because it's so cute ;)

Wow. Am I the only one suddenly hungry for cake? Either that or the Wedding Cake fudge that my local pharmacy makes every now and then. Now THAT stuff is addicting.

Oooh, I love Nightwish. I would definitely play Sleeping Sun for the bride/groom slow dance. Then everyone could rock out with Billy Idol's White Wedding, just for something classic and fun.

Elphie, I didn't realize the band could turn down requests. It's not gonna be DJed?

if they are using CDs they are pretty limited to what they have with them. My nephew is a DJ and he has a wide assortment of music, but I can g-u-a-r-a-n-t-e-e he doesn't have the likes of say, Virgin Prunes (or a lot of the bands mentioned here).

But if they are using mp3s and a computer, they can easily go online and download stuff. I know that some bars do that.

I just found another suitable wedding/anniversary song.

Stuck With You - Voltaire

It's funny, cute and true. That's another one for my own wedding playlist.

Newer jukeboxes do that as well now, which is a really nice improvement over cd's.

Just play "Last exit for the lost" as the groom is making his way to the front. /evil

hehe Bad Reputation at a wedding, that is funny.
Ironically I just filmed a wedding last night and they played I Will Survive, another interesting choice.
Pleas do not request that one ;)
Funny enough I can think of more songs not to play then songs to play.
can you request songs not to play LOL

no one sing "the bride cuts the cake"
no one sing "any sat night fever songs"
no one sing "Hot Hot Hot" - buster poindexter
no one sing "the Macarena"

do we get cookies or just cake?

miss hearing from you Nephele
are you still in the NY area?
if so come to my show Aug 3 for the museum of interesting things, it is free.

cheerios!
Denny
