To-san, you sound as disappointed as I was when I saw the crowd gathered to watch Judas Priest. A few real metal heads, but mostly emo kids and preps who left before Judas Priest even took the stage! If you're going to pay to see a good band you might as well stay to the end. We did end up conversing a bit with this young couple who sat next to us(they were into Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio and other good metal bands from the 70/80s). That was when they were touring with Testament, Motorhead & Dio. I got to see Dio live before he died.

Yeah, I heard the same thing happened in ENGLAND(of all places!!!) when Black Sabbath did their tour, and most people only showed up for that shitty excuse of an opening act, Lamb of Godawful.

.....bringing me to my next genre of my shitlist after nu-metal and screamo...... metalcore!!!
I hate, hate, HATE metalcore, and this includes Lamb of Godawful, Avenged Seventimestoomany, Bullet for my Valentine(when it should be for the band...), Hatebreed(suitable name for a band that breeds so much hatred), and anything else involving some fat guy in baggy shorts and a aseball cap waving their fingers in the air and screaming "motherfucker" to some half-assed chugga-chugga non-riffs.

Remember: Baggy trews are for children and those doing a sport. I never got the 'look like a 1950's English football player' look. Old I am, Bah!

I can't believe a bunch of morons would rather see Lamb than Sabbath. Getting to see Geez & Iommi play live is one of the highlights of my life. You can't compare anyone in Lamb with true Legends like that!

Bands I hate, to the point where I get pissed off, or facepalm lol? Hm, well pretty much the following-

-Blood on the Dance Floor/crunkcore bands. Also, Jeffree Star

-The Cruxshadows, Du Pont is a joke and a jackass

-Grendel, Tactikal Sekt, and all this repetitive aggrotech garbage. Anyone can make a 4 to the floor beat and wail like a goddamn banshee about angst, through distortion

-Social Distortion. Mainly because an arch nemesis of mine worships them. But I never did like the music.

-J-pop and j-rock theatrics bullshit. All show and no substance.

-Metalcore bands

-Screamo/emo bands

-Katy Perry. You're not cool, you're not edgy, and you're a fucking cunt

I agree with you about everything except for the aggrotech.

There are many, many things I'd like to expound on, but for now I'll say that I agree on these two, and this applies to most of what I hear on the radio, especially "rap-rock" offal.
I also cringe whenever I hear most "classic Rock". Not that most of it is necessarily worse than other stuff, but I am just so burned out on it after hearing it for decades. A mere chord from Lynyrd Skynyrd makes me want to slash my wrists and jump under an earth mover.
For true HATRED, Tim McGraw is near the top of my list. I'd like to tell Al-Quaida that the Bushes are spending the weekend at McGraw's house and draw them a map. "Indian Outlaw" and "Don't Take The Girl" are two justifications for the private ownership of tactical nuclear warheads.

I agree with the aggrotech......
I think there's a huge gap between that garbage, and the GOOD 80s/early 90s electro-industrial like Skinny Puppy, FLA, Haujobb, yelworC, or all those other pioneer bands who actually included a lot of creativity, layers, and atmosphere in their sound.

Aggrotech is what new mainstream "goth" clubs rely on to get people on the dance floor...... a cheap beat, some guy whispering through distortion about pretty much the same things nu-metal/screamo/metalcore bands sing about, the same sequence of beeps passing for a main riff. The younger testosterone-driven brother of trance.....

It has always astounded me to no end how so many self-professed "Goth" DJ's don't seem to understand this. And usually, when they don't understand the difference between Old School Industrial and BPM driven electro-dance, they don't know doodly-squat about actual Goth music, either.

The reason people hate douches is because douches are bad.

Well, the reason I stopped going to the big parties was because there is a little electro-industrial(usually only the famous club hits mixed in with aggrotech), VERY little gothic rock/deathrock/darkwave and NO old school industrial, NO martial/neofolk/medieval stuff, NO black/doom metal, and definitely NO dark ambient/experimental noise, therefore very little to interest me.

I have come to realize the painful truth again and again, and that painful truth is that the average person thinks like the average person....... in effect meaning most people neither like the music I like, nor think it suitable for dancing, even at a goth event........

The average joe normal, likes bright, clean-sounding production, typical chorus-verse-chorus structures, generic simplistic dance rhythms, clean chugga-chugga guitar riffs, and lyrics made not to provoke, nor inspire, but merely to provide a catchy chorus to sing along to......

The average person also gets most of their musical/subcultural info from MTV, enjoys revving their engines really loud at traffic lights to increase the size of their penis, thinks spiking their bangs looks cool, and thinks excess profanity is both shocking and classy.

..... and people question my misanthropy.
