I will just try to open this thread again, as it was my favourite thread before it got closed...
Don't destroy it by going way offtopic, and to keep things interesting, why don't write a little review of the record you've just bought, or discuss other people's purchases...
Hope this isn't going to get closed again.... :l
--------
And now for the real reason of this thread. I just wanted to brag about my newest purchase: KMFDM - What Do You Know Deutschland? First pressing from 1986 on vinyl!!!
Quite cool record, but it lacks some of the harsher sounds that are introduced on latter recordings...

Wow! Great buy! Where'd ya get it and how much did it cost you?
Anyways, yesterday I got Probot 's self-titled debut record, and I must say, I am quite impressed. As explained in the booklet which accompanies the album, Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, QOTSA) got a hold of some of his favorite artists of all time and got them to make a record with him. The result is great! This album is very hard-hitting, it's the best album to come out in 2004 so far (in my opinion), and I have no doubt it will be one of the best side-projects to come out this year...
Key tracks: "Red War" (w/ Max Cavalera (Soulfly,Sepultura))
"Shake Your Blood" (w/ Lemmy (Motorhead))
"Dictatorsaurus" (w/Snake (Voïvod))
"Sweet Dreams" (w/ King Diamond)
4 years in the making, this is one kick ass album.
-DM, who hopes people will follow the new rules if this thread isn't shut down.

The Rasmus - Deadletters
I've only heard two of their songs previously so it was kind of an impulse buy but it was well worth the money.
I saw a Depeche mode compilation in HMV earlier, 6 CD's for £24, not too bad, I'll have to pick it up when I have some spare cash on me.

I found Christian Death's Only Theatre of Pain at aVirgin Fucking Megastore! I've been looking for a copy of it since late last year.
Also: The Smiths; Best of Vols 1 and 2
Slowdive; Souvlaki Space Station
The Church; Best Of
Cinema Strange; Selftitled
I found the last one at Projekt's 5 dollar off sale.

I got it for 5$ at a secondhand store! It is probably worth a lot more!
Gemma: GRRR. No more left of that one... I want it! I want it! I want it!

Actually, what you are talking about is the new DM singles box set. These boxes contain all singles ever released by Depeche Mode (from 1981 to 2001), and I think the price is £24 a box.
Anyhow, my latest album purchase is Leftfield - Rhythm and Stealth, which I am very happy with. Not very dark and/or gothy, but you know...

I am waiting for the two CD's I've ordered to arrive. One of them is Avatar's "The alchemist" (local black metal band) I'm not into BM, but I loved it(especially the amazing keyboard parts) from the first moment i've heard it, and now I'm getting the collector's edition, with videos and everything. The second one is Apocalyptica ft. Nina Hagen - Seemann. All I know about it is that it contains a great cover of Rammstein's song. I'm waiting....

I just bought the Best Off of HIM. I haven't really listened to it much yet, but for now it sounds pretty good.

Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts
T.Rex - Solid Gold
HIM - And Love Said No
Nirvana - From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishka
From The Muddy Banks is a bit of a dissapointment. Very sloppy, and just generally crap.

Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes
Iced Earth - Days of Purgatory
personally, I love at least half the songs on Something Wicked, but Days of Purgatory was just, eh, not my type
I want to find Dark Saga, but don't have the cash to buy it right now even if I do find it

Erm, waiting for SoM's "Floodland" and VNV Nation's "Empires" to show up from Amazon.com. And, BTW, I used the Goth.net link.
Hey, 200 posts...yay, me!

Whoa...
...this is very important:
Does it list WaxTrax! or Z-Records as the label on the album?
