Post Florence & The Machine
I just recently bought Ceremonials and I am regretting not listening to F&TM sooner.

I think she harkens back to the Little Earthquake days of Tori Amos and I would daresay that she should be afforded the same "honorary goth" title as has been given to Tori.

I say this as her lyrics (at least on this album) are dark and soulful in the same way as a lot of older bands I enjoy like Faith and the Muse and Bel Canto.

Is anyone else into Florence, and if so are there any other new bands out there with a similar musical tone?

I just started listening and really enjoy Spectrum... especially the lyrics.

"And when we come back we’ll be dressed in black!
And you’ll scream our names aloud!
And we won’t eat and we won’t sleep!
We’ll drag bodies from their graves!"

I loved F&TM's first album, I have yet to pick up the new one, so if you haven't checked it out yet, I definitely recommend "Lungs"
I definitely get a Tori Amos/Kate Bush vibe from her.

As for similar artists, here's two I think are somewhat similar (and I personally prefer over) F&TM :
Zola Jesus
Bat for Lashes

This is another similar artist, I don't know if I'd go as far as to recommend her, but I did enjoy her first album ("The Family Jewels"), very heavy on the Kate Bush influences (everything I've heard from her second album sounded dreadful to me by the way).
Marina & The Diamonds.

I love F&TM! It's something about Florence's voice and the lyrics in a lot of her songs that make me think deeply about the world. I don't like Ceremonials as much as I like Lungs, but they're both really good albums.

I am probably the biggest F+TM fan out there. Ceremonials is a masterpiece, 10x better than Lungs. I think the thing that makes it phenomenal is that there isn't a single weak track. I can listen to the whole record straight without skipping a song. Good to see there's other fans out there. I could write an essay about her music and how much it means to me, but I think I'll trim it down a bit for the sake of the forum :) .

I haven't heard much yet but I am discovering them just now and really liking them, specially the newest album. I love the sound and voice and the appearance/style of the singer (that was what made me try looking up their music - I saw her in photos in a magazine and it caught my attention).
