Last post of the previous page :

Lachrymose WroteColonYa know, I'm a Black Sabbath fan, but don't really like "Iron Man". They have much better songs.

And "headbanging", while it does refer to the neck-snapping action of metal fans, was originally slang for fellatio, as in "Suzy is a headbanger."

So put that in your cigarette holder and smoke it. ;)

Never heard of that!

That would irritate so many of the guys I knew back then. Their fashion was brought about by a gay man(Rob Halford) and head banging was sexual slang!

Hey! I'm studying Italian and forgot the word for Astronaut. Thanks Harpy!

?? "astronauta" Are you asking me for that translation? Couldn't understand what else your comment meant, given the context. (NOTE I had to run a search because I don't know Italian.) :?

I lost my star in Krasnodar, by Lacrimosa. It's just silly.

Speaking of Sisters of Mercy, I just can't get into "Dominion (Mother Russia)". Doesn't work for me.

I have to say Happy House by Siouxsie and The Banshees... the song just sort of grates on my nerves somehow.

Also Black Sabbath by Type O Negative... it's quite boring for the most part I find and I usually have to skip over it.

I know this is an olde post, but how can someone not like that song?

I suppose maybe 'Detonation Boulevard' or 'Doctor Jeep' are better songs?

I find Floodland grossly overrated and too commercial sounding for my tastes, although I still like that song and somme of the others for catchy qualities.

My favorite songs of theirs are songs like "Marian", "Rock and a Hard Place", "Logic", "Alice", "Never Land", and "Floorshow".

Their strength was driven deep-bass-throbbing, minor-chord-mangling, tragic-vocal-wailing, unrelenting "gothic fucking rock" they've long since let behind so Eldritch could pursue a pop career.

Yeah, truly a shame. :(

I also liked the song 1959. Beautiful, slow and melancholy.
