okay, Noeve has slightly messed up up the dates
Its also the friday before each date listed as well. so 24-26 31-2 and so on.

At present, we have yes'es from the following folks:
Myself, Duo, Py/Dirgesinger, Noeve (of course ), Verv.
Others are "possibles", from previous meet.

All suggestions are welcome.

So far Ara Nights on Friday. Knowing the people who are definates, we'll be doing more "wandering, talking, and touristy stuffs" rather than "zomg clubs!".

Yeah, I should have been clearer : Friday to Sunday is the idea. Accurate dates are therefore :

As for "wandering, talking and touristy stuff rather than clubs", I wouldn't be so sure. A good few people have expressed interest in Ara Nights, linked above, and would like to stay there a while. It's not like we can do touristy stuff at three in the morning ( unless we someone manage a thermite torch... ).

So, yeah, everything's open !

So far, we have a vast majority of interest for the first of the above dates. Again, let me know what works for you - we want to see as many new faces as possible.

Neither me nor Loki will be attending this meet.

(I guess there isn't much point posting here if we're not going, but it saves people asking myself or Loki if we are/why we aren't going on IRC).

I've already booked October 31st off work specifically to spend with Loki, and we wont be heading up to Manchester. Any time from November onwards is definately out of the question because I can't have time off work.

Neither of us can afford it, either.

Also, what is there to do in Manchester apart from ARA?

In terms of alternative things to do in Manchester, there is:

Jillys : A club thats on every Thurs, Fri and Sat with a selection of rooms playing different types of music.
Ara : A Church with a collection of Goths who bring their own alcohol and listen to the music that a few DJ's play.
The Grand Central : A pub where most of the alternative crowd in Manchester go.
The Salisbury : Another alternative pub which is behind The Grand Central where all the alternative people go.
Sin City : A small club night which is on the first saturday of the month. Not really a club atmosphere, more of a venue with goth music and goths.

There are also lots of things to do which aren't exactly alternative/goth - but they're still nonetheless.

You have the Gay Village, lots of bars and cosy pubs all over Manchester.

As for food - t heres pretty much every genre of food place within the City Centre.

Due to some minor problems, the meet will be moved to NOVEMBER 28 - 30.

If you can make the Friday, we'll meet up sometime / somewhere and head to Ara Nights. If not, join us on the Saturday !

People will need to arrange for themselves a place to stay for the night.

I'm glad I checked up on this thread. I had no idea if the meet had gone tits up or not but did remember it was originally due at the end of October. D and I should be able to travel down on the new dates! So that's us and probably Alth, even if I have to paddle his hiney to the train station
