I considered myself goth.

Now, I think of goth as an influence, something to learn from. Basically that means I'm taking what I find good about the subculture, while taking things from other influences as well. However, in the summer I dress like a hippie and in the winter I dress like a goth.

Yeah.

so you diversify around cradle of filth ? what's wrong with that ? who cares if it's truly Gothic as long as you like it .

You should've seen the corset I made that same year out of old salmon pink couch fabric. *Shudders at the thought*

You see, I never used patterns or anything, just guess work and for the most part it showed. :p

Oh poor you. I feel for you...I once bought one of those things by accident.
I think it should be called Cradle of Crap really...

Did you consider them goth? Else I don't see anything bad in it? I have all their records. Who says goths has to listen to JUST goth? As long as goth is the main part of what you listen to, you'll be fine.

I don't really know any real errors I have done in my career as a "goth" but in my early days as a satanist I did some misstakes.

Semantics, darling...semantics.
Cradle of Filth makes it sound so much more dramatic and interesting then what it really is...
which is Crap.

Of course that is my humble opinion....I really dislike that band and I cringe when I hear it praised as "a really cool goth band."
