centurion Nessus Joined: December 2004 Posts: 2733 Location: Osaka, Japan Gender:	Well, there are so many kinds of industrial, and what people may call industrial...... from the early pure experimentation and noise manipulation of Throbbing Gristle or Psychic TV to the modern vocal dance/rhythm based "EBM", to the electronic metal that is coldwave. I`d say Skinny Puppy would define everything industrial music is and remain one of my favorite bands of all time. Also check out Einsturzende Neubauten, old Ministry, Alien Sex Fiend, Pig, yelworC, Frontline Assembly, and Laibach. _________________ Righteousness is the root of all evil.

While techno is pure synth noise. I play keyboards and I love VNV Nation (favorite musik ever) but I still enjoy NIN (best industrial ever.. maybe KMFDM, but I like NIN better). Anyways, I kinda have a top ten industrial album "list", only according to personal tastes though, as what is "essential for every industrial fan" seems to be pretty debatable. Probably many of those I mentioned were in the "modern industrial" category as well. No, the essential roots artists and albums are well into the hundreds.
