Post "Victorian Gothic" Style Adornments
Hey all,

I've been selling my paintings and hand-crafted goods online for a while now (mostly through ebay - which I am getting sick of for many reasons), but have only recently opened my own webstore for the accessories that I make. I'm still in the tweaking process, and would appreciate your feedback on the look, functionality, policy clarity, etc. I'm not the world's most gifted web designer, but I think I'm off to a good start. So I hope you'll check it out, and offer your opinions and bug reports if you find anything acting funny. I think I've fixed all the links and images, but you just never know.

Thanks in advance :)

Your site is beautifully designed, as are your products, especially your jewelry. I will definitely look into buying something from there (once I have money)!

Thank you!!
:D

Actually, since I made that post I found a whole bunch of *erm* spelling mistakes and a couple of bad links. Hopefully now I've caught all my goofs!

Eep, I'm surprised I didn't catch them. Usually, I'm good at that.

Very beautiful site! I saw the word "Philosophy" and jumped the link right away only to find myself agreeing totally and loving what you had to say. Very well said, and a good word for art as well.

As for the items themselves, were I to have a job, I'd make a gift of the Hematite cameo for my love as I do find it to be rather elegant, beautiful and artisticly graceful.

Do you do anything custom by requests? Merely a question of interrest really, as I haven't a peny in the bank to spend on such luxuries at the moment...

I am open to requests for custom designs, and will make them if I have the materials. Actually I have some info about this on the store FAQ page:

Beautiful site, very well designed, and there are some absolutely gorgeous pieces of jewellery on there. Once I have some money, I will think about buying an item or two. ;)

Thank you!

I'm always being too critical of myself. Although I suppose most artists are like that to some extent.

Thank you!

Well, I'm an artist first and foremost, so I guess I'm very picky about my presentation. Also, my husband is a professional photographer so that helps a great deal. If left to my own devices, I could never take a photograph that would show that much detail - I'm hopeless with a camera. Since my work is very ornate, showing it off properly is very important. Glad I've made a good impression!

Thank you, everyone - I really do appreciate all the feedback you've given me. I've only been selling online for just over a year, so I'm still pretty new to how a proper webstore should look & feel. It's a big step going from ebay to making your own store from scratch - and a LOT of work!
