GOTH.NET's colocation provider has indicated to me that over the past few days it has seemed to have some hardware based issues. This is the case of the past few days outage.

To this end, I will be purchasing new hardware for GOTH.NET. This is not a cheap propsition, because I will be upgrading GOTH.NET to the system specs of a modern server. This will cost about $2000 to do, and it will take some time (I need to get the hardware shipped to me so I can once again re-install the operating system, then send said hardware to the colocation provider and copy over any data from the existing system).

I don't expect this to be completed within the next month, however this is what I am planning to do. In the mean time I hope the current hardware does not have any issues.

Oh, and be assured, the hardware issues appear to be more relating to the motherboard, not the hard drives. This means that no matter what, we will not lose any data. Though once this is done, GOTH.NET will be DRAMATICALLY enhansed - so much so that I just can't wait to see it!

There may be a few growing pains as we move from a 32-bit system to a 64-bit system, however I hope this should not be too much of a problem.

Thank you all once again for your patience. And if you're so inclined, please donate to help offset the cost of the GOTH.NET hardware purchase (not to mention the colo bill), or if you can't spare the cash, support the people who advertise through Google Ads on our website, since Google Ads really do pay for GOTH.NET's upkeep right now.

Woopieh, thats sounds like great news!
(I am glad I donated just recently.)

Will have to remind myself of using the google-ads though..
Anyways, keep on the excellent work, PreZ. I was missing the site so badly these last days ..

(And I was surely not the only one (; )

What's this? Is that a spell check I see underlining my horrible spelling? Rock!

As soon as I have some extra scratch, Prez, it's yours!
