I just recently found out about this Japanese goth band known as The Candy Spooky Theater. I'm addicted now; I like their Halloweenesque style. What's everyone else's views about the band? And perhaps someone could point me in the direction of similar bands? |

I thought their stuff was really, really cheesy. As if the name couldn't tell you that already.

I know the guys in this band. Saw them in Tokyo about 3 times now, and they`ll be doing their first US tour this year.
Rather odd, I always thought they were just some new band, as they generally just handed out singles at shows. Now Trisol`s got them signed and they`ve got a full-length out now, as well as a picture on the front cover of Orkus.... Orkus gave them an odd description as well: "Cinema Strange meets Moi Dix Mois meets Danny Elfman"?? Some songs off CS' Astonished Eyes of Evening are a bit similar, but Moi Dix Mois?? Not by any stretch of the imagination. Some people just find most japanese bands to sound similar, I guess. _________________ Righteousness is the root of all evil. |

Guess they're okay, kind of reminds me of early Oingo Boingo with a campier edge. Espically the orchestra.
