Post Converting Measurements
Since we're from all over and it's a pain to constantly look up how much one cup of X ingredient is in ounces or grams or whatever, I thought I'd point you guys to two sites I find very useful.

The first is a table that lays out what 'one cup' of different ingredients is both British Imperial and Metric weight:

http://www.veg-world.com/articles/cups.htm

The second is a handy conversion calculator from cooks.com which allows you to type in the amount, select the unit from a dropdown list and voila!

http://www.cooks.com/rec/convert/

Happy cooking.

I stickied the topic, so we can always find it in future. :)

Awesome.  Thanks, Nesert!

I'm going to adjust my shortie recipe now.

http://onlineconversion.com/

A handy site that has conversions for a vast range of things, including temperature (those pesky Fahrenheit to Celsius and back conversions) and in the Cooking conversions it lists the various conversions of butter (between sticks and ounces etc.) as well as temperature conversions between gas mark ovens and electric.
