I used to live in Ohio. Aberdeen to be exact lived about 20 feet from the river was the very bottom of Ohio.

I realise that the last post in this thread was several months ago, but it seemed the most relevant place to post, so sorry for the *bump".

I am an English goth, living in the UK, but within a few years, Ohio will be my home, as I'll be emigrating to live with my fiance. I'm hoping to get involved with local goth communities, clubs and events (if any exist), or perhaps maybe helping to organise such things if they are lacking in the area I'll be moving to (I find my fiance's area rather sleepy for my liking, I think it could do with some livening up ).

I'll be moving to Chillicothe, which isn't too far from Circleville if I remember the geography correctly. I have not come across a goth in Chillicothe so far (only emo kids who seem frightened of me!), but I have been pleasantly surprised by some of you hiding in Lancaster . Chillicothe is about a 2 hour drive from Cincinatti/CVG airport (its technically in Kentucky lol), and I think maybe about the same from Columbus. I don't drive and don't see myself learning anytime soon, so I'm hoping to get to know people within a reasonable distance (hubby looks set to be my driver ). This is a few years away of course, but I see no harm in getting to know people now, as this will probably make the move and settling in much easier, if I already know people outside of my extended family

I hope no one minds my bumping of this thread- it seemed irrelevant to create another, and several people have posted here already, so it seemed likely to be noticed Its looking set to be a little bit lonely in Chillicothe if I can't make some gothy friends, so I hope there's still some of you hiding nearby! ^^;; Come out to play with me!

I used to live up north in Toledo, but got smart and left. I now live in the Covington, KY area, which is pretty much next door to Cincinnati Ohio. If anyone here has gone to 'The Dock' nightclub on a Thursday night, you've probably seen me.

For those of you who have to "commute" to gigs and club nights, whats the longest journey you're willing to put up with to do so? Everything is so spread out in this darn state!
