Jaylynik wrote: Hahaha! I've always been quite fond of TMBG, actually, although most of their songs are really bad for getting stuck in your head. Related story: My MP3 player has a setting where it'll line up a playlist of the 20 songs with the lowest playcounts, which is my standard setting. A side effect of this is that when I add a new song, it'll play that one a lot until its playcount has caught up with everything else. Since I just dumped a bunch of Emily Autumn on the thing, this means I had been listening to more or less nothing but her (outside of my usual weekly break to wind up my radio for a certain Demented radio show) for about four days, something I was perfectly fine with. It came to an end yesterday when, after a set of 19 Emily Autumn songs, it played They Might Be Giant's "Cage and Aquarium." The sudden, whiplash inducing change in tone and mood from my music had me laughing my ass off, and garnered a funny look from one of my coworkers. One of my friends & I used to listen to Whistling In The Dark. Those bastards are very catchy! -- Wed Apr 07, 2010 6:10 pm -- radio/active_ wrote: "Little Girls" by Oingo Boingo

Maaaaaaaan, I don't think this thread has enough warning labels. Fish heads are never seen drinking cappuccinos in Italian restaurants with Oriental women...nooooo... The Dr. Demento show had some GREAT songs. In the morning...laughing happy fish heads...in the evening...floating in the soup!
Does that help?

No, because now Barnes and Barnes and Jem and the Holograms are having a 'Battle of the Bands' in my head.
*puts on her mp3 player and tries to drown them both out.*

"Sabrina" by Einsturzende Neubauten. I can't get it out of my head! But at least it's a good song for once. I just wish it'd get out! "I wish.. this would be your color."

 Re: Earworm Thread!
I originally posted this in the "What annoying pop song do you secretly love the most?" thread, but the source was unavailable to viewers in North America. I'm therefore posting it again here, because if you watch/hear it twice, it's stuck in your head forever. I make no actual apologies for liking it (listen to the guitar line! And I love the vocals...) but I would warn you that you listen to it at your own risk! http://www.kewego.com/video/iLyROoafY6dQ.html

 Re: Earworm Thread!
Oh wow, I've only heard one other person use the term "earworm" before! He's actually the friend that 'introduced' me (for lack of the correct term) to the Goth culture. He basically said to me the one night, "I just realized what you are. You're a Goth!" and that just started the ball rolling on really being honest with myself and what-not.
Anyway.... Currently being tortured by Marina and the Diamonds' "Seventeen". Haven't heard the song in ages, was never particularly fond of it, but I was talking about it with the aforementioned friend and now the song is stuck in my head.
