blindwhisper, take your pick:

Merci Worth the Bullet
Lurette L'Ombre Whitch
Lorrette Whitchblume

= mrhewolcibteeluttrh

-- Nephele
Who thinks "Merci Worth the Bullet" might make a good band name, as well as a personal name.

Adalyne X. Pire

Pire: short for "vampire." With the middle initial "X." you get a play on words: "expire" – meaning "to die."

Ylva, I love that Robert Frost poem you've put in your sig! Definitely one of my favorites. It might be a good idea, though, to credit Frost in your sig for the poem. You have good taste! Now, take your pick of dark, dark names:

Lunasie Duskfire Hellrose
= Adsuioueslkiesrfnlheelr

Hellissé LaDouleur
= Sudalsieuoelerlh

La Douleur: French, meaning "The Sorrow."

-- Nephele

Love the names!
Yeah, I really should put his name in, but it doesn't fit unless I cut out a few lines of the poem, which I don't want to do. What'cha gonna do?

I agree. "Merci Worth The Bullet" is awesome!

By the way, I am not sure if you have this name in your collection or not, but she is my favorite person in history, and if you do not know this particular myth, I think it could add to your Dark Names list.

The myth is an Irish one often called Deirdre of the Sorrows*

Deirdre is pronouced Deer-Dra
Also, the story given is just one variation. Let it be noted that there are many.

Yep, I'm familiar with Deirdre's story. Adding to the dark, romantic sorrow of this lovely name is that this was the name given by Isadora Duncan to her first-born child -- who was drowned in a terrible accident with her brother. Isadora Duncan never recovered from that tragedy.

Daimona: feminine rendering of "Daimon," the ancient Greek word for "demon."
