National Holidays?

May 22nd (World Goth Day)
May 27th (Feast Day of Saint Siouxsie Sioux)
September 19th (Talk Like a Pirate Day)
October 31st (Halloween)
December 17th – 23rd (Saturnalia. Nobody works for an entire week. Black toga parties abound)

Don't forget Beltane...

And, in the absence of a certified leader, or figurehead, I nominate the Vice-President's Birthday (15 February - nice and mid-way between Saturnalia and the Spring festivals).

Otherwise this is fine with me!

As is:

- Vice-Prez Minnie

Given what happens on Beltane, are you also going to need an official Matchmaker?

In my official capacity I must protest at these attempts at manufacturing new fangled devices for the creation of light. Phosphorus is only to be used in potions, spells and to rub in the eyes of enemies. If you want light I'm happy to provide the tar [1] and flint [2]. Tradition! [3]

[1] Tar pits open for all the family, excluding 'dump your corpse' Wednesdays.
[2] Hacked from the cliffs of doom. [4]
[3] You know which film.
[4] Downgraded to 'cliffs of moderate peril' [5] after the latest elf n' safety review.
[5] If your not wearing an approved hardhat.

So now living organisms have to find an alternative energy source? Edwin Krebs is spinning in his grave...

Krebs cycle? I always thought that was a kind of bike. :P No, the inhabitants of GSV (our airport code BTW) not being human should not require sunlight, sandwiches or Starbucks. McD is the exception as its not classified under food [1].

Well, I DID say he was "spinning" in his grave, but I didn't think about it that way. :?

Good lord. We're now at 42 posts, have a full government, an airport, we've established that we believe in match-making, national holidays, nutrition...

Is there any limit to our inventiveness? And if we believe hard enough, can we wish Gothsylvania into existence?

Does Gothsylvania have a constitution? Yes, buts its very weak. {groan}

All we need now is a civil war to complete the picture. Should not be long now...
