Not being able to resist one of these (it was a link and a quiz - a lethal combination), I took this and got the following result: Quote: Your Result: traditional goth also known as a "romantic goth" (because of the romanticism period of art); you are a regular/traditional goth who have original "gothic" values in yourself. often enough, you would visit graveyards, draw/write about the darkness within you or read/listen to something gothic. Yep. Definitely someone from the younger end of the scale, I'd say.

Who was more romantic or Trad than Rozz Williams? He seemed to mix the two a lot.

Re: What Type of Goth do you consider yourself
Totally agreed, and I think there's always a very dark "romantic" element to goth generally. But the idea that "trad" and "romantic" are one and the same, which is what the definition seemed to be implying - and here I'm just thinking about the stereotypes - boggled my mind a little.

Here are my results from that test: Quote: what kind of goth are you?
Your Result: traditional goth
also known as a "romantic goth" (because of the romanticism period of art); you are a regular/traditional goth who have original "gothic" values in yourself. often enough, you would visit graveyards, draw/write about the darkness within you or read/listen to something gothic.

Re: What Type of Goth do you consider yourself
I got loli & unity goth by simply twiddling the manga and friends questions.
Unity goff:
"you believe that goths can have non-goth friends and listen or be a part of non-goth cultures! you get along with both non-goths and goths. that's great! because that gives you the chance to be exposed to both sides of the border..."

Re: What Type of Goth do you consider yourself
I decided to google "unity goth", and most of the results point to this thread I was wondering why I'd never heard the term before...

There you go - technology in action. Before we started talking about it, it didn't really exist except in that quiz - and now we've willed it into (at least virtual) existence...

Re: What Type of Goth do you consider yourself
don't like that kind of test because the possibilities goes that you need to be into one of the categories or you'll get Unity... so it doesn't mean much
