Post Your Hidden Elvish Name
That's Elvishnot Elvis.

Seeing as how someone here expressed an interest in Tolkien's Elvish languages (in another thread), I thought I'd start a topic on the Elvish name hidden within your own name.

Your Elvish name may be from the Quenya or Sindarin languages, or from a more obscure Elvish dialect. In any case, it will have a definite and precise meaning, as well as being meaningfully yours due to it being an anagram of your actual name.

If you need help scrambling your name (for privacy), here's a link: Scramble Me!

Then, post your scramble here, and I will give you your Elvish name (most likely with accompanying, crafty English surname).

Thanks Nephele.

Prefferably a strong name, fully of hope.

Midieval Fantasy, you are an elf of mixed parentage – thus your name encompasses both the Quenya and Sindarin languages:

Laica Bain AgateSeeker
= abseietkaacrnaeeagli

Laica: Quenya, meaning "keen, sharp, piercing."

Bain: Sindarin, meaning "beautiful."

AgateSeeker: The agate is a gemstone that symbolizes strength and beauty. In Masonic tradition, the agate is said to have been the stone of foundation.

Nephele, this is yet another wonderful idea! Thank you for this thread.

Please could I ask you to work with my usual mix of letters:

DarklyInclined, thanks (and you, too, Midi and under_lord). I think this is turning into one of my favorite anagramming themes. I'm in love with Tolkien's evocative languages. Here you go, Minnie, you are a Quenya-speaking Elf, named:

Vorindë Serë Fairbloom
= rrribseoomvnoialedef

Vorindë: Quenya (pronounced: voh-RIN-deh), meaning "true heart."
Serë: Quenya (pronounced: SEH-reh), meaning "one who rests."

Midi, here's another one for you – this time using your married name (that really long scramble of yours):

Taina Arahaelbes WoodeMagicke
= agleneaetarbieckaaisdowomah

Taina: Quenya, meaning "lengthened; extended," as in one who lengthens her outreach and extends herself in order to care for and accommodate others.

Arahaelbes: Sindarin, meaning "noble and wise wife."

Hey, Nephele, thanks for telling me about this thread. And for creating it. :D I have to say, I've never read any of Tolkien's books but I may just start now. I'll put my scrambled names here in case you want to anagram it in this thread.

Liezriesbiezmantaoksiawk

Thanks again!

Lithium, take your pick:

Ambariel Inwistë OakKizzes
Liritië Ambassewen OakKizz
Tambarië Ilwenis OakKizzes
Tambarië Oiawen SilkKizzes
Tinweriel Ambassië OakKizz
Wistariel Ambien OakKizzes

= Liezriesbiezmantaoksiawk

Ambariel: Quenya, meaning "daughter of fate."
Inwistë: Quenya, meaning "changeable mood."
Liritië: Quenya, meaning "poem."
Ambassewen: Quenya, meaning "breast-plate woman." (name for a warrior woman)
Tambarië: Quenya, meaning "woodpecker."
Ilwenis: Quenya, meaning "sky woman."
Oiawen: Quenya, meaning "everlasting girl."
Tinweriel: Quenya, meaning "maiden crowned with stars."
Ambassië: Quenya, meaning "breast-plate." (name for a warrior woman)
Wistariel: Quenya, meaning "daughter of change."
Ambien: Quenya, meaning "hill."

Kizz/Kizzes: Fanciful spelling for English "kiss/kisses."

I also did the scramble of just your first/last name, that you'd given elsewhere.

Tinwë Baissel OakKizz
= waietlbizinaskekszo

Tinwë: Quenya, meaning "spark; star."
Baissel: Sindarin, meaning "beautiful girl."

You've got a long name! If there are any other forms of your name that you'd like me to try, just let me know. (Same for anyone else here.)

I'm sure it does, and you're welcome.

****************************************

WinkingDeath, take your pick:

Daerhel Sienna-Eyes
Hyandiel SereneSea
Linya SereneShaede
Saerhel Sienna-Eyed
Yániel SereneShade

= arleienedeshnyeas

Daerhel: Sindarin, meaning "great girl."
Hyandiel: Quenya, meaning "daughter of the blade."
Linya: Quenya, meaning "pool."
Saerhel: Sindarin, meaning "bitter girl."
Yániel: Quenya, meaning "daughter of the holy place."
