Now that I am finally able to drive, I'd like to one day (once I get the cajones to drive into the city) go visit the goth clubs there. I know of the Neo from a friend, and there was another he mentioned, but I don't think he's been to either in many years.

I'd like to know - are they any good? Do they just play that "thumpety thump" stuff and what about flashing lights? Dress codes, anything of the like. I'd like to know as much about them as possible actually. Any info that would be helpful in deciding whether it's worth the trek to the city would be great I know what I see on the websites but that doesn't really tell me much from a patron's POV.

I've recently moved here and the goth clubs i've found are in a relatively small scale in comparison to what I had originally thought they would be.

I haven't really found my niche yet either in the city as far as appreciation of the dark aesthetic/ goth clubs go, haha. I wish I could help you more.

Hey there, have you been to the Neo? I've heard it's about as goth as it gets here. DJ Scary Lady Sarah does shows at the Metro sometimes but they are not "goth clubs" per se.

Honestly don't know much about steampunk, to be entirely honest.

I actually have not been to Neo yet, I've ben sort of put off by some of my friend's descriptions.
But clubs, as always, are what you make of them. I plan to hightail it down there with some good company, and hope that the music is decent. What more can ya do? Haha.
