"Life As We Know It" - really had to control myself to keep from crying at that one.

"Paranormal Activity 2". I figured since there was an infant in it I would be more freaked out, but I found myself giggling through most of it. Only two parts really freaked me out When the mom gets dragged down into the basement and three hours pass before she comes back up freaked me out. The cabinets popping opened made me jump, but that was mostly due to the volume of the bang in the movie since the rest of the flick is relatively quiet.

The Satanic Rites of Dracula.
It was horrible. Dracula died in a bush.

"Black Death". A brutal, gritty, but ambiguous and thoughtful movie set as per the name of the movie, during the ravages of the bubonic plague. The story centers on a novice priest who guides a small band of soldiers toward a village that is spookily free of the disease. Is this chance... or are darker forces at work?

Bram Stoker's Dracula. And yes, I thoroughly enjoyed it. And yes, The ending still sucks.

The Corpse Vanishes ~ Not as good as Bela's other movies, but it had its charms.

Crank. It was good, quite humourous, in a VERY stupid way. Before that I watched 30 Days of Night, I've watched it several times, and watching it with subtitles is the best way to watch it. "Foreboding music" because THAT doesn't tell us something bad is happening/about to happen

"Pan's Labyrinth". I'm still not sure yet whether, in my view, it merits the praise heaped on it or not - it's a very powerful, unsentimental, and frequently brutal film, and at the same time astonishingly beautiful and moving; I admit to also having a soft spot for "El Orfanata" (which is documented here in another thread) - there's something about Guillermo Del Toro's work which makes his films, however seemingly unappealing, absolutely compelling viewing.

 Re: Last film you watched
Its the juxtaposition of brutal reality with scary fantasy that makes "Pan's Labyrinth" for me, and the courage shown in each.

We own them and I also want to get X-Men Origins Wolverine. That one rocks. I just watched Termintor 2 Special Editon. One of Arnold's best films along with Total Recall IMO.

Last one i've watched was the origional halloween movie... for obv reasons DarklyInclined wrote: "Pan's Labyrinth". I agree completely. Guillermo del Toro's The Devil's Backbone was equally captivating in its own unique way. It's been a while since I've seen either film i might have to re-watch them soon.
