I wonder how head crabs (Half Life) would work. It leaves you aware of everything that's going on but not in control. Your body is mostly dead,but you're walking around in one of these things only able to scream backwards (the cries of those with a head crab are reveresed for some reason)

When they attach to the body they spread everywhere essentially making you have living body armor. Though bane needed to use a special helmet to keep them from spreading to his head and feet or else he would have died. They feed off the dark side, but at the same time enhance your force powers. They cause your body to be in constant pain, but that is also helpful since it helps a dark jedi feed off that anger.
