This caused me to take an instant dislike to her because I felt she distorted my comment- which caused us to take the disagreement to PM.
Taking it to PM was the BEST thing to happen to me. After talking through our issues I rethought my opinion of her, as she did of me I imagine, and since then I have considered her one of my dearest friends. Sometimes I feel I could not be more close to Minnie even if she lived next door to me.
Darling, what I said about your post that one time was hateful and mean, and you were absolutely right to react the way you did. For me, though, the rethinking began as soon as you posted your reply; I could see I'd hurt you, and although I still felt, at the time, that I wanted to hold some of my ground on principle, when we started to discuss things in PM - which, I agree, WAS the best thing - I also wanted to patch things up because I realised I'd been unfair to you. I'm greatly, greatly honoured that you hold me in such high regard, but I'll be even more honoured to know that you realise that that's a mutual feeling. I can be a bit cynical about the Internet at times, but our friendship reminds me that it can, after all, be a wonderful and valuable thing.

 Re: First impressions.
And there was me thinking the poster was ironic. I still have a pair of 80's speedos lurking in the kitbag somewhere. (no H, I'm not doing a pose with them on).

 Re: First impressions.
Actually, the sister-in-law took pics, and I saw one, so yes, they do exist. Y'all will have to hunt them down though, I'm sure they are online somewhere (thousands of people with cameras that night!). Point being... wearing a mask when you do that is a GOOD thing

 Re: First impressions.
When I first popped on to this little home inside the web, I was rather intimidated. This is my first forum with activity on it, (dead lounge is deader than the name discribes) and I wanted to get along with you all. I stayed rather quiet if I recal corretly, but I'm glad I stuck around.

 Re: First impressions.
There was no fear in me. I came here resolutely, without any doubts. I liked all of you as earnest people with great sense of humour (I confess - I understand not all jokes but I do my best). Here's no exaggerated malice.
