Darling, what I said about your post that one time was hateful and mean, and you were absolutely right to react the way you did. For me, though, the rethinking began as soon as you posted your reply; I could see I'd hurt you, and although I still felt, at the time, that I wanted to hold some of my ground on principle, when we started to discuss things in PM - which, I agree, WAS the best thing - I also wanted to patch things up because I realised I'd been unfair to you. I'm greatly, greatly honoured that you hold me in such high regard, but I'll be even more honoured to know that you realise that that's a mutual feeling. I can be a bit cynical about the Internet at times, but our friendship reminds me that it can, after all, be a wonderful and valuable thing.
