I hadn't gone because I had a long run this morning and had to be up early. But next month at that time, I could just do that long run (will be much shorter anyway) on the Sunday instead.

Re: Darkened California - For all those gothic West Coasters
Bats is actually on Friday, not Saturday. It's been a while since I've been, so I forgot. So since it happens every 4th Friday, the next one should be Friday, Feb 25. How is that for everyone's schedule?

That sounds good to me.
Right, I know it's on Friday - what I meant was that if I had to be up early Saturday, I could not stay out late on the preceding Friday. But on the 25th, I'll go with you two, sleep in the following Saturday morning and do my long run Sunday instead.

Re: Darkened California - For all those gothic West Coasters
So ladies, what time do you want to meet at Bats on Friday night? 10 p.m.? 10:30, or later? Do you want to meet outside in front, or in the club by the bar? Parking can be a bitch in that area, so you may have to park a block or two away. FYI, this Friday's theme is all about the Damned, so be prepared to hear lots of Damned music! Yay! Guest DJ Deathboy from Oakland will be spinning some tunes, too.
Oh, just thought I'd add that I'm a member of the LADead meetup group, too, Ms. M. As yet, they haven't planned a meetup that I want to attend. I don't like most of the Hollywood goth clubs, so I'm going to avoid the H'wood Goth Crawl meetup, and the picnic meetup planned for Woodland Hills is WAY too far away from me in the South Bay. I wish they'd consider all members' interests and locations when planning meetups, instead of just the interests of a few.

Absolutely, parking can be impossible there! I'm thinking I should probably show up even as early as 9:30 (not saying that you folks should show up at that hour, but yes, I can look for you at whatever hour you choose after that). Parking is the only bad thing about RtB - all else is great! I'm fine with whatever time/place (inside or out) you choose.

Hmm well I'll most likely be busing it as usual so I'll try & be there @ 9 so I can have enough time there before I gotta catch it back home...can't wait! Oh & thirtiesgirl, you're more than welcome to head down my way if you have the thrd wednesday a month free for the OC Goth meetup-I'm sure they'd be happy to have you!

Thanks, but I can't do weekday meetups. I work in education, which means I'm up at 4:45 every morning to make it to work by 7:30 on time, so I can't go out on weeknights. I wish some of the meetup groups would take into consideration that not all of us have jobs that allow us to hang out during the week. ...Anyway, if you guys are going to get to Bats by 9:30 p.m., I'll try to make it by that time, too. I'll just look for Harpy, since I know what she looks like, and go from there. There won't be many people at Bats at that time of night (they usually don't start showing up until after 10), so it shouldn't be too hard to find you.

Re: Darkened California - For all those gothic West Coasters
Awww that's ok it's understandable. My friend who introduced me to the meetup doesn't go either 'cause of her job & she's got a son, though Idk why she doesn't just bring him. Yeah I'll try & be there by 9 or 9:30 *xs fingers*...

Re: Darkened California - For all those gothic West Coasters
Looking forward to tonight. I could really use a drink and need to blow off some steam from one of the most stressful work weeks I've had in a long time.

I also. I apologize about not calling you at home instead, I did not know that you had your cell off at certain times. Now I know.
