No, you may NOT bring your kids...
No, you may NOT bring your kids to live with you in a trailer park for sex offenders and pedophiles. I want to do some serious shit to a mother who knowingly brings her children to live in a trailer park full of sex offenders (because she wants to care for her father who also happens to be a sex offender), and then her little girl is raped (?) and dismembered by one of them. News article.Quote: A state website shows that 15 registered sex offenders live in the park that numbers about two dozen homes. Self-identified sex offenders living at the trailer park said Tuesday that they were given maps by the Indiana Department of Corrections and a local mission showing them where it was OK to live. The aerial maps show areas legally away from schools and daycare centers and help guide offenders when they are released from prison to new homes. This is why these people aren't allowed to live near schools and daycare centers. They probably should be living in prison. And this woman brings her little girls to live in this place?? How was this even allowed in the first place? Don't school records reveal where children are living, and doesn't anyone think to say: "Hey, this isn't such a bright idea. Maybe I should call CPS or something?" Clearly the mother has her head up her ass, and I think her other two kids should be taken away from her. -- Nephele

Re: No, you may NOT bring your kids...
So they were living, and even having him babysit, her kids knowing he had just gotten out of jail for being a dangerous pedophile? Is she fucking nuts?!
This is the way I see it: If she wanted to be with dear old child-molesting daddy, then she should have taken her kids to live with one of her relatives or close (non sex offender) friends while she moved into the infested trailer park by herself.
I am surprised that it was only one of her three daughters who was brutally killed, and not all of them. I agree CPS should have been called. That is child endangerment on extreme levels. It is so sad that the poor little girl died because her mother, for some fucked up reason (probably because of her father) didn't see any reason to fear living with a bunch of child killers.
Then again she said she had concerns...still if she had concerns, the best bet is to not take the chance and not put them in a situation which would most likely (and did) prove harmful to one or more of her very young daughters.

Not only that, but another sex offender living in the trailer park was quoted as saying: "I didn't see any reason to question it at all." Yah, well, I suppose he wouldn't. But people who aren't criminals (or friggin' insane) would see plenty of reason to question leaving your kids for a week with a sex offender/pedophile. Absolutely. People need to trust their instincts. But instead, too many people deny their gut instincts and listen to people that they ought not to be listening to in the first place. Although I think this is a case of extreme stupidity and denial on the part of the mother of that poor little girl. -- Nephele

Re: No, you may NOT bring your kids...
In a small town in Pa called Brockway there is a "ministry" called Just for Jesus. They house murderers, rapists and other sorts of sociable people in a kind of half way house, The people of Brockway are trying very hard to get this taken out of their town. This ministry has no professional staff as far as I know, and no real security to keep the town safe. Some of the housed have already re offended and have been removed from the area again.
This woman is as responsible for the death of her child as much as the actual murderer. I hope she does not get to keep her other children so she can put them in danger as well.

It's one thing to call her stupid for taking such a risk, but for fuck's sake - her child is dead.
Are we really going to point fingers now?
Yes, she fucked up and paid the ultimate price. I think it's safe to leave it at that.

I think it's safe to leave it at that. ~spidey To support this, your honor, Nephele, I offer: The man who committed the murder, Plumadore, was from another state and not registered on the Indiana list of sex offenders as the article stated: "He has a criminal record in Florida and North Carolina that includes convictions for trespassing and assault, and an Indiana conviction for forgery." No mention is made of sex offenses or murder. There was no way for the mother to necessarily know that her father's room mate was a criminal. Further, she was worried about other sex offenders in the park, and made an inquiry to father who reassured her. She cannot be held responsible for the death of her own daughter and we should place that responsibility on the man who committed the murder. Lachrymose, for the defense.

In China, they had a penalty for murderers worse than death, where the offender would have his/her arms, legs, tongue, hair, and eyes cut off or ripped out, and spend the rest of their lives in a cask of wine.....

Re: No, you may NOT bring your kids...
She may not have killed her daughter and I understand that she is suffering, but I still believe that even though she did not kill her daughter she is the one who placed her, knowingly, in harm's way. Regardless of which person in the park killed the little girl, the fact of the matter is that the mother should never have brought her kids to stay there knowing what type of people lived around the house.
I believe she should have left her children with someone while she cared for her father alone. That is my opinion at least. She may be suffering and she may regret it and and it can't be changed, and though I am not pointing fingers just to do it, it is hard to ignore that she never should have taken her daughters to live in that trailer park.

Re: No, you may NOT bring your kids...
Lachry, I submit to the court that it doesn't matter what she knew or didn't know about Plumadore. There are maybe a couple of places where you absolutely do not bring your child to live: Isla Sorna, and a community of sex offenders.
I agree that the responsibility for the death of that poor child falls on the man who did the crime. But the mother's poor judgement makes me fear for those two surviving children.

The surviving kids can't still be there, can they??! That would be nuts! I think we rest, on this one.
