 Re: Goth mail call!
I can't really go out and buy things offline when looking for clothing. There's nothing with my tastes there at all and it sucks, so online is where I get my clothes from. It's not ideal, since I like to see the product in person, probably try it on first too, that way I can make sure it fits and looks good on me.
I usually pick good clothing though, so it's not too bad.
@Rogoth: You and me both, I'm saving up for Diablo III (but I have to save up for a good computer to run it on first) and a tarantula. My priorities usually make no sense.

 Re: Goth mail call!
Although I live in a relatively large city, there isn't a very big selection here, and of that selection most of it is already available online (Lip Service, Heavy Red, etc.) and usually cheaper online anyway. There are a couple of local designers, but the offerings are either too cute/young/lolita or cyber/fetish for my tastes, so online it must be. Aside from that, it's the price. As much as I want to support the local folks, saving $20-$75 on a piece of clothing by ordering online is almost always my choice (so yeah, I'm an Ebay shopper from way back). The thing that makes me laugh is how much people complain about delivery time these days. Am I the only one who remembers what mail order used to be like, where it took 2 weeks for your cheque or money order to get there and then another 4-8 weeks for the parcel to show up in your mailbox? (yes, there was electricity, telephones and automobiles then) I own my own online shop, and can't help shaking my head when people write to me freaking out about where their order is after only a week. LOL! When I was 10 years old I sent away for a set of free Bic "banana" markers (can't remember why they were called that) after collecting the required 4 cereal box tops. The company was in California (which is two states away from my province) and the whole deal took 3 MONTHS. When I was older, my pen-pals and I (hands up who knows what those are!) used to swap home-made compilation tapes of our favorite music by mail, which not only taught me patience but introduced me to the majority of the records I still own (some of which were purchased via mail order!). Nowadays merchants like me ship out same-day or next-day, and the postal service takes only 1-3 weeks to get the job done. Frankly, if anything takes less than 2 weeks to get to me, especially if it's from overseaas, I'm ecstatic!

(yes, there was electricity, telephones and automobiles then) Oh I remember that vividly. In high school I had a job and a large disposable income [considering I only had car insurance, and gas- which was cheap back then, to worry about] but my bank wouldn't let me have a debit or credit card. They allowed me to have an ATM card but it was only usable at ATMs. So I had to drive out to my bank 1-3 times a week to get money orders made up for whatever I was buying online or by mailorder.

I usually order things on ebay and most of the good stuff (by good i mean at a cheap price ) is from China, so it takes a month or so to arrive here. Most of the time anything else I order takes a max of about 2 weeks

Do you like ordering thing online or do you just not have the patience? Is there something in particular that you're waiting for? I didnt have the patients until there this one incident were i had to wait for a month and a half for a necklace and ever since then I keep thinking that there will be a package in the mail, is that weird? :/ anywho long story short I think Im addicted to online shopping (I guess waiting paid off because I have a hell of alot more patience now) Yes, I spent over $600 these couple months online. I am a huge online shopper and I'm always looking forward to my stuff in the mail. Today I received my Diesel Cologne, I have to smell great while looking good. This week I also got my goth arm warmers. Ever since I discovered online shopping I've been going crazy online. Today I recently discovered Etsy. So yes, I love online shopping.
