It's out on DVD already, but that's not much help.

That's how I got to see the first season -- on DVD. But I borrowed it for free from my public library. :D

Huzzah!

...and it's so "me"...

[quote="Nephele"]Lachry, you belong to House Crane of Red Lake, and your name is:

C'ril Invictus Crane
= ncvietrcusilnicra

"C'ril" is pronounced like "Cyril."

"Invictus" is Latin, meaning "unconquered; invincible."

Just when I start to forget that you're a librarian, you remind me. :)

 Check out your public library ittybitty. If they don't have the DVD to loan to you, ask them to get it for you -- either through purchase or interlibrary loan. You might have to wait an itty bit for it, but it won't cost you anything.

Post Re: Your Game of Thrones Name
I truly think that Game of Thrones is the gothiest series on television right now. And I was pleased to read this morning a review by Verne Gay of Newsday that very eloquently expressed pretty much how I view the series:

Verne Gay wrote:
“Thrones” is the rarest of the rare — a TV show with lofty intellectual ambitions that manages to be entertaining and even strangely relevant at the same time. How so? Think of “Game of Thrones” as a long meditation on opposites — light and darkness, north and south, night and day, fire and ice, realism and magic, true gods (and kings) and false idols, country and city, good and evil — and how these rule human affairs, notably the quest for power. That’s your connective thread, or (better yet) your flashlight, as you pick your way through the dark mysterious byways of this thrilling series.

"A long meditation on opposites" that contains relevancy for our own times. That describes the series quite well.

Lootukset, you are of House Crane of Red Lake in the Reach, and your name is:

Ilsé Jiselle Crane

Season 2's episode 5 -- "The Ghost of Harrenhal" -- is on tomorrow night. Woo-hoo!

Yep. I've given this topic a rest and forgot to close it months ago. I don't know when I'll get in the mood again to anagram Game of Thrones names.
