2. I used to love, and I mean LOVE Dungeons & Dragons back in my teens!! I still have a healthy collection of Monstrous Manuals, especially from Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, and Planescape. Never really got into Dragonlance or Dark Sun all that much.

3. I've a definite weak spot for Star Trek, as well as cheesy 80s Sword & Sorcery movies.

4. I used to be a video-game nut, especially when it came to RPGs, but rarely have time to play them anymore.

5. I was a huge fan of pro-wrestling as a kid, especially since my grandfather was friends with the Hart family in Calgary. Late 80s/early 90s WWF especially yields fond childhood memories. The Undertaker was one of my non-musical goth idols :P

The above part is me, plus tearing down and building up computers, freebsd hacking in the admin sense (not coding). Also read alot, nonfiction, researching occult and computer related stuff most of which I forget now. When the family comes not much time for anything else.

1. Warhammer 40k. I love spending hours painting those little figures. I only have a small Orc army, but I'm looking to upgrade soon. I bought some green stuff a month ago, and now most of them have tophats and cigars. The warboss is called Sir Conan Waaaargh. Also, yes, what you heard is true: da red wunz go fasta.

and

2. I love learning about the human body and various sicknesses. I have 6 medical compendiums on my bookshelf - the oldest one is from 1942, the newest from 2011. I blame my father for this. He never explained the birds and the bees, he just handed me a medical textbook when I was 4 years old and asked me to read about sex, pregnancy and birth myself.
In short, I collect medical compendiums and I treasure them dearly.

I have seen more anime than real television shows. I've played more video games in a month than I have studied for anything in a year. I think aliens are cool. World Of Warcraft is my religion. My girlfriend and I went on a date to the library.

Seriously guys, take your pick.

People have for years thought I was a boy due to my knowledge about computers, games and classic sci-fi shows and films. And I take part in my boyfriend's company's businesstalk, they're all engineers. As well as I had A-levels in maths physics, bio and chemistry (different schoolsystem) being one of two girls in my year.
In my leisure time I used to programme my calculator.

Now I'm bit less geeky, which seems to be why people suddenly call me by my real name and not the male form of my name.

Thought my granny would say it's my glasses ,when i got them she told me 'finally you look intellectual'...

This thread sounds like a geek competition....
In short, the geekiest thing is my lacking knowledge of things people here consider normal girly things. I just prefer computers to shoes and handbags...

I'm not opposed to roleplaying, albeit I prefer text based online roleplaying to the old school paper & pen. Though I've done both as my older brother is huge into roleplaying.

Hm, another one is likely my unhealthy love for Megaman and all things related to it. :P

I have an equally unhealthy knowledge of all things sci-fi. Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Farscape, Red Dwarf, Quantum Leap, you get the idea. Who is the big one for me though, I love Tom Baker, I love David & Matt nearly as much and enjoy several of the other Doctors. I use to tape trade with people to try to get some of the missing episodes of Doctor #1 and #2 too.

Oh! I'm a Whedonist too, and sort of by extension a Supernatural fan, seeing as it follows a similar formula to Buffy & Angel. Anyways, I own everything Whedon's ever released, all of Buffy, all of Angel, all of Firefly, Serenity, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog, the Dr. Horrible comic by Dark Horse, some of the Buffy & Angel comics. I even enjoyed Dollhouse before they pulled the "oh shit" switch when they found out they were getting canned. :P

Hmm. I study English Language, which is like the scientific side of English, so it can get pretty dorky but I adore it. I read books on grammar and etymology on a fairly regular basis. I also play Xbox, which many consider to be a 'geeky' pastime but which I consider to be awesome.

This can sometimes be considered geeky. I wear suspenders, though I wear them with low-rise skinny jeans, a dress shirt and a tie.

I also sometimes wear wayfarer glasses. They're in style currently, though they're still geeky.

My geekiest quality? I write a lot--not just anything, though. I tend to lean towards fan-fiction (usually the Elder Scrolls or Fallout) or I write post-apocalyptic fiction with an introspective focus on the character has (s)he struggles to uphold Old World Ideology vs. New World Survival Methodology.

I also tend to play a lot of Real-Time Strategy Games, Roleplaying Games and MMORPGs.

Dear Lord, where to start....

-I met my husband role playing on World of Warcraft
-I consider books to be something almost holy, and rarely am not in the middle of a novel.
-I write fantasy and horror, from high fantasy to modern.
-I absolutely love table top RPGs and have played: D&D 2, 3, and 3.5, d20 Future and Modern, Lord of the Five Rings, Lord of the Rings (d6 system), Star Wars (both the d6 and d20 versions), Call of Cthulhu, Warhammer Dark Heresy, Serenity, and Vampire the Masquerade (d10 system).
-I average one to two zombie dreams a year, the most recent I basically turned into a ninja because I knew that if I fired a gun, I would just draw a lot more of them.
-Topics I regularly research for fun include quantum theory, ancient history, world religions, and psychology studies.
-Love Star Trek. Tough call on whether Picard or Janeway is my favorite captain.
-I've been playing computer games since I was about three or four when my grandpa taught me just enough DoS commands to run games on his old PC. I still prefer PC games to any console games.
-As I'm writing this, I've also got Stargate SG-1 going.
-My aunt treated me to Space Camp when I was 12, and I still wish I could go back.
-I was the kid in grade school that was constantly made fun of because I liked to watch shows like 20/20 and Dateline.
-I believe George Lucus should be lynched for what he turned Star Wars and Indiana Jones into in the last 15 years. Actually, I think the creation of Jar Jar Binks is reason enough.

That's a decent enough base, I think. I could keep going, but meh...effort...

1.) I've gone through just about every MMO in the book because I just can't find one worth sticking with.

2.) Oh, yeah, and I HAVE to eat clam chowder with a plastic spoon, ha ha.

I built my own astromech droid out of an old vacuum cleaner.

I own the entire series of The X-Files on DVD, along with the first movie on blu-ray and the second movie on DVD.

Not only that, but I also own two of the mythology DVD box sets (which, if you already own the rest of the series, are only good for the special features and packaging), an X-Files themed TV Guide (do they even make those anymore?) issued promoting season 8, a Scully FBI badge, and one of the games that was released for the PS2.

Yeah, I'm obsessed and have officialy completed my collection with the blu-ray yesterday after buying X-Files stuff since I was about in 6th grade, 13 years ago (I had official box sets with episodes on VHS for crying out loud)

Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing
