Has anyone ever felt like they're supposed to feel that certain way, that's not really good? I've had depression for a couple of years, and I feel like it's how I'm supposed to be. Or I just don't have the will to fight it off... (Or I'm just lazy, who knows?).
Just getting my feelings off my chest. I would suggest trying something new everyday. It could even be something as simple as trying a new food, to joining a karate class. You could even try working out or backpacking, or bungee jumping, or going to a dance club you've never been to, or joining a book club. Try writing a story, singing a song, forming a band, going to a concert, drawing a picture. Try learning a new language, or listening to a new band. The possibilities are endless. You know the feeling you get when you try something new? Something new that you just found out you love? You're excited and happy and nothing else matters because you just found something new to live for. You can't stop thinking about it until you get or do whatever it is again. And this new thing affects you so much that it helps shape who you are. I know that's how I felt the first time I heard The Cure. I don't know you personally, Raven, but I'm sure you've experienced something like this at least once in your life. By trying something new everyday, you could run into something you love. And you never know; that love could be the thing to help you out of your depression. Also, I know this sounds cheesy, but take a sheet of paper, write everything good about yourself on it, and keep it in your pocket. Pull it out when you start to feel upset or sad. Just remember that there is always something you can do to help ease your depression. Keep active, and try to experience something new as often as you can.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Furry Foxtails I am tired. Got switched to the day schedule this week, and I did not sleep well last night. Then, of all things, we have tickets to go out of town for a concert tonight so I won't be getting any sleep tonight either. Guess it's time to invest in copious amounts of Red Bull and hope for the best. If nothing else, maybe I'll do something crazy in my sleep-deprived state whilst at the show that will get me in the papers. And for those of you wondering, we're going to go see Mastodon with Ghost and Opeth tonight. ~spidey

These shoes are a strain upon my feet. But they're so darn pretty. Still, they're not everyday wear. Wearing them with stockings on resulted in the skin on both my pinky toes being rubbed raw.

Oh that's right, Mastodon is touring! Hang in there Spidey and I hope you can get some rest not long after. Wedding planning is a pain in the snoot! All these details and hidden costs, even though this is NOT going to be an elaborate wedding. bleh LS will start work in the Southern California office in early October. I'm going to fly to Atlanta and join him for a drive across the country.

I really want to do a big American road trip sometime. I would like to do it in a Daimler Dingo though, because I am nuts.

Arq, if you ever do the road trip, be sure to stop in and visit. You'll have to settle for Guinness in bottles, but we have plenty. And being nuts will help you fit right in here.

I just submitted my entry to Writer's Digest's Annual Competition. Here's hoping I might win something. That'd be nice.

I've got a bunch of bills that I know will be coming soon from the hospital. Sad thing? I'm already figuring out what I'd like to buy after I've saved up a bit of money after that. All Takarazuka Revue related stuff. Oh Takarazuka, why must you be so expensive and awesome?

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
I have this unpaid job where I review horror movies. It's nice, and it's the perfect excuse for eating popcorn and watching movies, because I'm totally working, so I can complain when people disturb me. Anyway, the site I'm writing for is booming. It's just a little project for a small group of people who love horror movies, and there's 300 visitors per day now. Not bad.
So now I'm chatting with the owner (I'm so dissapointed he didn't like Cabin Fever 2. I mean, there's half naked girls in it!), and planning on which movie to review next. I'll be super stressed this weekend - I'm always stressed out when I have to write something. Am I the only one who feels this way? I keep reading what I've already written, and then I don't know how to continue. I kind of lose the natural flow, so to speak.

I keep reading what I've already written, and then I don't know how to continue. I kind of lose the natural flow, so to speak. Awesome job, even unpaid! But I understand the stress about what you've written. I had to finish a piece that's supposed to be published this week. And I stressed so much about it; even though two other people, an editor, and some more people will look at it to check it. I stressed so much that I kept writing a sentence or paragraph, delete it, get it back, look at it some more, delete it again, etc. (I sometimes have it posting here, too.) So, either we're both really stressy people when it comes to writing, or this is happens to many people. You'd think I am just not good in writing or that I would hate it. But the strange thing is: I love to write. Sgath, I am glad that you are alright, as are your housemates and your belongings. That must have been a scary experience. I must say that you have organised your belongings pretty good, to be able to grap them so fast when needed.
