Alice, I hope they catch the person or people responsible! Cutty, I hope that your grandpa gets better - I'm glad that he's happy though. The library contacted me and hopefully if the guy comes back they'll be able to get rid of him (one of the staff did see us at the library, so I'm hoping that helps). They were very nice about the whole thing. I've managed to finish the presentation part of my project so all I have to do now is the paper part (which is supposed to be short) and then the final exam. Almost done.

Hope that the library will help you straighten this mess out.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Man... It seems like I hardly have any time to visit anymore... I really need to make time to visit...
But anyway, I believe my stomach problems stemmed from daily use of headache medicine (Excedrin generic)for the past two years. It has seemingly damaged my insides and I'm paying the price... Lovely, isn't it? So after suffering a bad stomach ache due to headache med use, the day before yesterday, I decided that enough was enough. Today will be the second day that I haven't used the meds. But this trip isn't going to be an easy one, for I suffer from rebound headaches too... I must stay strong though...

And aw, Alucard *SUPERHUGS*! You'll work through this. harpy: Did someone say Iron Maiden?! Dragonwings: I'm glad the librarians were understanding. Hopefully that guy just doesn't come back. Midi: Thanks! Alice: Gang violence over a bakery? That's stupid. Gangs fight over the dumbest shit.

I wish I had that many posts, though... I think next to Lilith (the webmistress of Gnet) Wolfie, that is Wolfmammy, has the greatest number of posts (she's awesome!). I stopped noticing my post count a long time ago, I think. I'm sure if you stay here long enough, and keep visiting and contributing, your count will grow. Maybe one goth point for every post is in order?

This is not a specific attack on anyone, but general internet advice: never judge a person by their postcount. Very true. The gods know I'm definitely not an expert on all things Goth. I just happen to voice my opinion a lot, and hope not to piss people off too badly after the fact. I have taken more to reading than posting lately, but I'm coming back to that, I think. Hell, my advise: Always listen to Arq.

Arq and Midi: *head spins from all the advice* Uh...er...I think I'll go with the second one. Midieval Fantasy wrote: Hell, my advise: Always listen to Arq. And I know there are users with higher post counts but still...3000 is a lot.

I'm hopefully getting a place with my boyfriend sometime this summer, maybe fall at the latest. Congrats, and enjoy the show! -- Wed May 02, 2012 11:25 am -- ittybittybat wrote: ArcAngel wrote: Haha, thanks harpy, how are you and LS these days? Dude, You have over 3000 posts. Honestly, I've also been a member of the forums since late 2005. Safe to say, I've probably had A LOT more time to post.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
A singular post of awe-striking, killer content is a myriad times better than 10,000 posts of pure, utter crap. But of course, the regulars here are pretty top notch so if I generally saw someone with like 800,000 posts, I'd probably think they'd be spiffy.

If someone has that many posts, no matter how long they've been around these fora, I'd worry about the lack of their life outside of gnet... I also much prefer to read one intelligent, compassionate or funny post by a member than thousands of meaningless 'contributions'.
