Hahaha! That is quite a silly video! I totally see the comparison. Well put! XD ...For some people, being excited for a big wedding is only natural. Some...not so much.

^^Well, if you like planning parties, then yes, you will probably have a ball planning your wedding. If you don't really care for big parties, then you probably won't have a ball planning your wedding. The party is the most important part for some people.

Although I like the idea of planning my wedding (I love planning parties), I would much rather do nothing and just consider my life-partner and I married. Do I want a reception? Yes. Do I have to have one or the world will end? No. Hell no.

As far as getting excited over a wedding, I'm only happy if the couple seems happy.

I'm not exactly sure how one would go about answering this one... Whether it is in one word or in many... But it was something I've been thinking about...And here is my thought...

I've been to one. It's pretty much the same as IRC, except you end up singing "Code Monkey" in the pub.

I concur; a meet up would be very interesting, to say the least. If anything, we would have music to talk about.

Bit of a fantasy wedding, brace yourselves:

It would take place at night, or at near-dusk on preferably a rather *HIGH* cliff. Friends and family of my Beloved and I would sit down on little white chairs in their respective sides. At the *very edge* of the cliff, there would be a hierophant, ready to bind two souls + two lives together forever. My bride comes first and awaits to the right of the hierophant/religious figure, her Handmaidens (bridesmaids) following behind her and standing to the right of the religious figure with the bride still being the first person on the hierophant's right. Flutes would play as the ladies walked down the aisle. Her bridesmaids wear off-white or grey, my Beloved would wear white.

Then, a low but solemn drum would begin to beat as I walk down the aisle with my own entourage. We make our way to the religious figure with me closest to that person's left side. During this, I'm wearing one hell of a badass black tuxedo.

The hierophant asks the both of us to extend our right hand. Before we kiss we say to each other, "You and I, together until we die." After both of us have said this, we *somewhat* aggressively embrace each other and we kiss.

The hierophant simply says after this, "It is done." Everybody gets up and claps like fuck. Afterward, we head to the reception, which is somewhere else.

I would love a meetup. The one in the UK sounded like they had a fun time and I have seen the pics to prove it.
