Post Re: Last film you watched
Last night I finally saw Crybaby, which I've been wanting to see for several weeks. I really enjoyed it though I thought it was rather lacking in character development. I expected it to be more serious but was really more of a doo-wop musical made into a fast-paced, somewhat silly movie.

Never expect serious from director John Waters. :-)

Just out of curiosity, what made you think it was going to be serious?

Dark Shadows. Entertaining certainly but I think they were trying too hard with some of the humor. I'm not sure I'm the best one to give a review though because I barely remember the TV show.

Straight-laced friend wanted to watch Rocky Horror Picture Show last night so we did and of course that's always good. But GAMER the night before was awful.. Just awful. Enjoyed Dark Shadows a lot the night before that but more for the darkness and atmosphere than because it has a good plot...it didn't.

Last night, I watched Land of the Dead, which was obviously directed by George A. Romero. It wasn't too bad.

MIB3. A bit more emotionally serious than the previous funsters. Well signposted reveal which was a nice touch rather than a LIAYF[1] moment.

[1] Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back father & son moment.

I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay (Korean drama w/English Subs)

It's a really good film and I recommend it highly.

Rockabye (1932) starring Constance Bennett and Joel McCrea.

Sorry, no lengthy review this time. Good film, though, not her best but clearly enjoyable enough --just too tired to write about it.

Yes, I enjoyed that movie too! Loose ends well tied up, although I admit I was surprised by one part of the ending. Upon reflection I thought "WHY did I think that? That actually would not have made sense."

I saw "Bernie" yesterday. Interesting film based on a true story. The film gave a very good look into all sorts of characters in the movie. Jack Black did an impressive job, and the various actors playing townspeople were extremely convincing.

I watched a documentary on the Legend of Atlantis. It's so interesting!

I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay - A fine movie about mental illness. Atlantis might have been Santorini, before it exploded. Watch it go bang again: http://www.santorini.net/caldera.html :P
