Just watched Bang Bang You're Dead. It was great! Any of you seen it?

I saw that movie last year. I enjoyed it a lot.Ben Foster is one of my favorite actors.

Well, I spend more time searching movies, rather than see them, because I'm tired to see the same idea all over again but with different actors or anything else.
I like mostly horror and drama movies and it seems that i like old ones more than these new.

Gypsy 83 and Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark are the last movies that i saw recently and i liked them. They're cool. What do you guys think?

Has anyone seen Vampyr? It's a 1932 german film, largely silent. I watched the first 30 minutes or so but it's kind of slow for my taste, but I may sit down and watch it all the way through soon.

Last night, I watched (and finally recorded onto disc from the DVR cable box) 1918's The Blue Bird. It's based on the Belgian play about two children searching for a mythical Blue Bird that will bring eternal happiness, so that they can help a neighbour. It's very sweet, and I'm impressed with how much mythology it alludes to (without directly referencing any world mythos in specific).

Relax...It's Just Sex.

Really, the trailer explains the movie well.

It's a 'gay and lesbian' movie, but all people: Straight, Gay, Bisexual, Lesbian, Christian, Atheist, etc...can enjoy this movie. It deals with topics such as AIDS, Rape, Morality, Change, Moving On, Death, Life, Friendship, and finding yourself. It was beyond touching. The best movie I've watched in a long while.

(The trailer can be a bit graphic, so it may not be suitable for work)

I watched Dragon Lord, which is an older Jackie Chan movie.

I just recently bought a set that had 8 Jackie Chan movies, while I could have easily watched all of them on the watch now of netflix (which I did do before, by the way) I decided to go ahead and buy them since I liked them, so I've been watching one a day for the past five days.

Dragon Lord was OK, not one of his best ones, but certainly not terrible either. The main thing that brought it down was a sports segment that felt like it went on for far too long and served no purpose other than to extend the films length/ Or than that it was good.

The other night my band mate and I decided to reward a good jam with a trip to the movies. We watched 'That's My Boy'. I laughed a few times but over all it was a shallow film that went for shock value instead of hard earned laughs.

Judas Kiss. A LGBT sci-fi themed movie about a guy who goes to a film school to judge a competition, has sex with a guy who ends up being in the competition, only to later learn that guy is his past self and he has to change the events of what happened during the competition to change his future for the better. It had a lot of twists, kept me interested and by the end of the movie I was yelling at the tv, telling him who he needed to be with...so yeah- GREAT MOVIE!

If I can yell at a character in a movie like I do the ones in my books -'tis a good sign I'll watch it again and recommend it.

Men In Black III. It was quite good really. I was in suspense. The ending was rather sad.

Oh, well... The last movie I watched was "юрьев день" ("Yurev Den"/"Yurev Day", I was too lazy to use capital letters in the cirillic, sorry).

It's a Russian movie about an opera singer who goes with her son to visit the town she grew up in (Yurev), and her son disappeares while they're there. I found it really good, with a very nice depiction of a snowy forgotten Russian town in the middle of nowhere. You have everything there; crime, hospitals, desperation, "dirt", illness and alcohol, of course.
But I thought it was beautifully done.

Ohhh, I'd love too see some LGBT movies! The only one I saw (actually, it was a short BBC series, if U remember correctly) was "Fingersmith" - a lesbian themed movie based on a Sarah Water's novel of the same title. I found it really nice. And it was set in the Victorian Era if I remember correctly!

Aww, sorry for the typo! I meant "I", of course, not "U".

I dragged LS to see "Rock of Ages" - one of those groan-facepalm-so bad it's funny movies. At the first scene of a bunch of squares on a Greyhound bus singing a Night Ranger song, LS groaned "Stab me with a straw!" We were laughing our azzhats off listening to '80's soft rock/hair metal songs get murdered. Tom Cruise's character (an overblown rock god gone to seed) gave me the creeps because he never spoke in a normal voice. LS kept commenting on how there were no scenes in which we could actually see "Midget-man"'s feet "he always stands on a box".
LS had to take two bathroom breaks during the movie.

We'll get the DVD so we can throw popcorn at the screen while watching. We'll invite the ducks so they can eat the popcorn.

The new Spiderman movie. I'm just that awesome.

Sadly I can't legally review it for a few more days.

Post Re: Last film you watched
I watched three movies last night:

First I watched Repo Men. Now, I'm a hard core fan of Repo! The Genetic Opera. To this day, it still remains my favorite movie. The similarities between the two were way too numerous to count. However, despite this I really did enjoy the movie. If you don't compare it to Repo! (which is HARD to do) then it is really quite enjoyable. I must note, though, that after watch Repo Men I immidately watched Repo! The Genetic Opera. Yepp- it's still the best.

After Repo! I watched a Lesbian movie called Intentions. Eh. It was okay. The plott had a shit ton of potential. I could really feel for the characters and I could sympathize with the plot and what was going on. However, some of the acting was bland at best- highly annoying at worst, the lighting and camera was shaky on some scenes, and the ending was horrible beyond words leaving me going "WTF? That's it!?" Yeah....

I would like to see a lesbian movie not about cheating on the spouse or wanting to have kids, or not sure whether or not she's a lesbian. I think that's what wrong with so many lesbian movies. I've watched just as many gay movie and they don't ever seem to have that problem- but damn is it a common theme in lesbian movies and it just gets annoying. I want a nice, deep, romance/love story, not that melodrama bullshit that sings the same song and usually ends horribly.

Okay, end rant, sorry!
