currently i study in a Lebanese school with a killer french system, and after that i actually have absolutely no idea. very lazy i am. i really have to get up off my arse and look for a decent english uni down there that offers medicine...have any ideas????

beleive me, i'm STARVING for anything a fraction as extensive as the scenes in europe and america! i come from a "scene" where the acknowledged goths are 13 year old kids who have raided a goth store and completely misunderstood the entire concept. ah well. the only real goth i know would never attract any attention anywhere.

Believe me - Most clubs over here are not much better.

The amount of vampire-immitators, slipgoths and metalheads in the scene is ever-increasing.

This Friday a festival will kick off in Utrecht, the Netherlands. It is organised by the 'Cybergothic' organisation which is well known in both holland and germany (berlin, leipzig), as they're the organisers of many cyber/industrial/wave parties.

The problem however with this festival was, the money. And that's when the problems started. They arranged a deal with the organiser of the bigger festivals 'Mojo', which included a clausule that it must include metal.

Now we have a festival with This Morn Omina (powernoise/Industrial), Estampie (Qntal member band) and Mila Mar opening the first day, Paradise Lost, Autumn, and various other bands the other days.

I'm bringing my camera, as the look on the faces of the visiting metalheads at the powernoise sounds of This Morn Omina. :b

Pitr, would you be talking about "Summer Darkness"? I have been offered a lift there and I'm pondering whether to go or not (although just for the Saturday: Wolfsheim, Gothminster etc.).

Do you have a place to crash? I could possibly arrange something. There's at least one more sleeping place in my 10m2 room. At least it's less than 10 minutes walk from the prime location, Ekko. 25 minutes to Tivoli, but there's busses as well.

This wednesday I'll know it for sure wether it's still available. I'm getting the tickets as well, on wednesday. They're 15 euro's a day, or 45 for the whole weekend.

If you come, make sure you come the whole weekend. You dont want to miss out on Estampie and Das Ich. The nightly Cyberia afterparties will be rather neat as well, a friend of mine is dj'ing there, usually bringing his Case of Powernoise.
